    Blockbuster trade:

Boston sends Seguin and Peverley to Dallas for Loui Eriksson, Joe Morrow, 2009 3rd rounder Reilly Smith, and Matt Fraser

A little surprising since he was the leading scorer a few years ago but the GM was getting restless with his inability to mature and grow

Wow this is surprising, I agree with you, Dawg. Seguin is one of Boston's young talented players. I am surprised they were willing to part with him. Hmm. Also it's interesting Boston included Peverly. Loui Eriksson is a good player from Dallas. I don't think he is as great as Seguin, but I would bet Boston plans to develop him to replace TS.

Joe Morrow was part of the Brendan Morrow deal that sent the latter to Pittsburgh. Interesting he is now headed to Boston. You guys are getting a good young prospect with him.

GM was tired of Seguin playing like a child and not growing up, Peverley had to waive his no-trade clause for it to go through

Seguin had some good scoring chances in the playoffs, no? I'm just not sure exactly why Boston wanted to part with his youth. He reminded me of Marc Savard, a guy who had the potential to become great in Boston. I guess this trade also gives Boston some more $ so they can bring back Horton in free agency. Do you think they will go that route?

Yeah they want to bring Horton back and try some other things. Maybe it becomes one of those things that they are able to sell high and Seguin turns out not to be a good as he can be, its a risk, but Boston took the chance

Bye-Bye Andrew Ference. Leaves Boston to sign with Edmonton for 4yrs and 13mil. Not surprising, Boston has younger D-men that are ready to play and the age of the defense showed in the Finals
