I'll admit, I have held it against LeBron for what he did in exiting Cleveland. But he showed me his class this year. I am also a fan of LeBron. But, I'm a Pelicans fan first.

don't know what Miami is going to do on the FA market, if they do anything at all. But so far:

    Ray Allen is returning

    Chalmer's option is picked up

James Jones and Rashard Lewis both exercised their options and will stay

only other free agents from the team are Juwan Howard and Chris Anderson. I'm sure Juwan will retire, but Anderson may have played his way into a bigger contract with another team.

Mike Miller designated to amnesty.......Good luck to him. Hope somebody else signs him. He was huge for the Heats back to back titles.

True about Anderson. IMO he is worth a raise. His play was there for the Heat in the playoffs. Do you think he would take a discount and stay, with the potential of winning another title?

he already did. Miami resigned him last week. And he said he could have gotten about 3 million per year elsewhere, but chose to stay with Miami for 1.5 million.

Thanks. I missed that news. In one respect it's a smart move by him. I don't think he would go to another team and be a huge contributor. With the Heat he had a role and filled it well when it counted. This is a good move by Miami, IMO, by bringing back a valuable complimentary player.

Re: 2013-2014 Miami Heat: Back to Back Champs

Heat signed Michael Beasley.......wow. He never really took off until AFTER they let him go to Minnesota. Hopefully he can straighten himself out because this is a golden oppurtunity for him.

With James, Wade, Oden, Beasley, Bosh, Shane Battier and Ray Allen, the Heat now have seven players on their roster who were selected No. 6 or higher in their respective NBA draft classes.

Why in God's name did they give Rashard Lewis a player option?

no idea. Maybe they thought they would need bodies before they ended up signing Oden and now Beasley

I hope that Jarvis Varnado can stick on the roster again this season. Might be tougher with them signing Oden though. A lot of backup big men on that team.
