    2013 Conference Tournaments Thread

As usual, I'm starting a conference tourney thread for all the conference tourneys, besides the SEC Tourney. (I will start an SEC Tournament thread later). A lot of the little guy leagues are starting tourneys this week. The OVC, up the road from me, is starting tomorrow. This is my favorite two weeks of the year. I really enjoy watching the teams leave it out on the court for that one NCAA bid.

Which tourneys from the smaller leagues are you looking forward to most?
KT is so knowelegable about basketball, he can back his **** up. He can rip a program 6 ways to Sunday, yet turn around in the next breath and explain why that same program should/could/will be/is a great program.

I like and respect kentubby, he does know his stuff when it concerns college basketball.

This board would be boring if it wasn't for Kentubby's posts and the responses he gets.

Kentubby is one of my favorite posters on this board. Sure he has some personal views, but this board would be so if everyone agreed all the time that it wouldn't be worth going to. I'd challenge you to find another poster on this board that knows as much about EVERY SEC team as he does. He knows more about lowly South Carolina and our recruiting then alot of our own fans do. It would be a sad day for the basketball forum if he ever left.

BTW, the one bad part to conference tourney week for me is that we're going to start hearing about coaches who are fired with the season coming to an end.

Arch Madness in the Missouri Valley is usually good.

I think the OVC and WCC tourneys should be really good too.

Yes, I love Arch Madness. I love watching those Sunday finals on CBS, especialy when SIU was really good. That's an underrated league. I've never been able to attend an Arch Madness session, because it coincides with so many good games being played by UK and such.

I also am interested in the OVC, since that's my regional conference.

Looking forward to the MWC tourney. Five or six different school could win it, and it's not like saying five or six out of 14 schools. That's a small league.

MKfromPA, I'm sure you're interested in the Big East tourney. There's something about those Saturday finals that I love.

Speaking of the Big East tourney, this might not be popular around here, but think about this: the last three Big East tourney champs have made the final four.

    2010: West Virginia
    2011: UCONN (National Champ)
    2012; Louisville
    20013: ??? (Georgetown, Louisville?)

This is what I was thinking although it's not a "small" conference regarding number of members..

Love what VCU did to Butler the other evening...
