    Kentucky @ Georgia Game Thread

UGA won its last game; UK lost its last. It'll be interesting to see how both teams approach this game. UGA has definitely played a spoiler role to us in the past. In 2004, we lost three total SEC games (16-3 overall; two of those losses were to UGA). Same thing in 2002 when UGA swept us. This won't be an easy game, but it is definitely a winnable one.

UGA will probably have the best player on the court. But, UK may have the next 6 best. I think Goodwin and Mays' defense on KCP will be huge. WCS and Donte Williams are defensive guys. The Poythress/Wiltjer matchup with Djurisics will be huge. Ultimately, it's about the backcourt players though. Whichever guy can control his team best (Mann or Harrow) will go a huge way in deciding who wins.
KT is so knowelegable about basketball, he can back his **** up. He can rip a program 6 ways to Sunday, yet turn around in the next breath and explain why that same program should/could/will be/is a great program.

This board would be boring if it wasn't for Kentubby's posts and the responses he gets.

Kentubby is one of my favorite posters on this board. Sure he has some personal views, but this board would be so if everyone agreed all the time that it wouldn't be worth going to. I'd challenge you to find another poster on this board that knows as much about EVERY SEC team as he does. He knows more about lowly South Carolina and our recruiting then alot of our own fans do. It would be a sad day for the basketball forum if he ever left.

KT, it looks like you are ready to forget today's game quickly. I don't blame you. I'd want to do the same.

I'll take UK in this one. Don't see UK losing another regular season conference game.

I don't dwell on the losses and accentuate the wins. If I focused on losses, I'd be bemoaning lost opportunities at Bama and vs TAMU. However, I always start game threads as soon as the next game is over. It gives us something to talk about on the board.

Ultimately, the Arkansas loss could have been good for us to win; however, the loss is definitely our worst loss. Previously, it was TAMU but they were in the top 75 in RPI last I saw. So, that Arkansas game was our "bad loss," but no need to focus on it. It was our one "get out of jail free" pass of a loss.

The thing is, any win over UK is a big win for any team. You go into a UK thinking loss and hoping win... That is just the way it is.

I give the gators about as much chance of pulling out a win at Rupp as I would give any other team... About 20/1, or a 5% chance.

Stranger things have happened, GM32. I think UK could win against UF; doesn't mean it's likely, but to pick UK in that game IMO isn't all that off kilter with how this season has gone for everybody. UF is going to be favored in the game and we all know that.

That's the honor of being a UK fan I suppose. I'm glad we get people's best shot. It means you have a meaningful program. Normally we have guys that rise to that challenge. These guys have off and on. You should feel good about this win. A loss would have burst your bubble. That's why I'd be most excited; not because it was UK.

i did not mean UK winning would be strange. i meant him disregarding UF as having a chance to win is strange. he speaks of it like UF cannot even hope to win the game.

I didn't take it that way, but fair enough. I think he's looking at it as if UK plays its best game, we can and should win. If that's what he's saying, I believe it and agree.
