How Long will Saban be in Tuscaloosa.

Given that its very likely he wins a 3rd national title in 4 years here, and the fact that he's gotten us to a unprecedented level since the days of Bear Bryant, is the theory that says ''there's nothing left for him to achieve at Alabama'' coming to fruition with possible second jump for the NFL?The only thing he hasnt succeeded at in his career is the NFL as a Head Coach.

Or is it the other way around. He isnt interested in being a Head Coach in NFL and he's just gonna continue to dominate in tuscaloosa for another 3-4 years maybe longer and wind up with about 5 national titles at one school.

And to go along with it all, where do you all expect Nick Saban to fall in all time discussions when he's done for good. 2nd Best ever? Top 5 ever? etc?

He'll probably be at Alabama until he dies of a heart attack in a weekly press conference before a Western Carolina game or something.

I think there was a reason Spurrier said that Nick Saban needs to go somewhere else and win big. He will be the next coach at the University of South Carolina, propelling the program into a powerhouse that brings fear into the hearts of all East Competitors, and causes Clemson fans to cry and cry and cry.

And then I woke up. Hey, it's a nice dream though!

"As Clemson's founder, Tillman seemed to represent the very 'white savage' that he described in his speeches. Volatile, uncouth, missing an eye, and clad in unfashionable clothes, Tillman was easily seen as the embodiment of the Southern "poor white," a man with hatred for "the negro" flowing in his veins. Tillman represented an ignorant, intolerant white South that had seized the reins of power from a more cautious elite that, whatever its faults, had sought peace through compromise and accommodation." - Stephen Kantrowitz, Ben Tillman and the Reconstruction of White Supremacy

Hopefully he retires and goes to ESPN after he wins the title this year.

If he does for some reason get the itch to try the NFL again, I'd hope he wouldn't pick a disaster like Cleveland as the rumors are saying. If the Chargers fire AJ Smith, San Diego would be a far better option.

He wont retire this season regardless. I can see him retiring in as little as 3 years but not this season.

Maybe he'll decide he wants a REAL challenge: Building something out of the dumpster fire that is UK football.

I'd piss my pants, and then realize we'd still be 8-4 at best: Because that's like winning a national title at UK.

Re: How Long will Saban be in Tuscaloosa.

Saw an interview with him where he said he doesn't plan to go anywhere else and has no thoughts on retiring. Said he is glad to be out of the pros. Ok, so we all know we can't trust him on that.

But he did say he did not know what he would do without football and I do believe that.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here." Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
