ESPN never ceases to amaze me

Front page has a story calling Florida pretenders because Florida lost to a top 10 team. It was an ugly game but after beating two top ten teams and a good TAMU team on the road there was nothing pretend about it. Just a flawed team that was ahead of schedule because it plays sound football. Their sensationalism is never ending.

Gene Wojciechowski must not have seen Alabama play this season. As of today, it is clear every team other than Alabama is a pretender.

How are we going to blame Texas for this one?

I agree with GatorMan. Muschamp had this team overachieving until yesterday. They aren't pretenders. They're just becoming somewhat of a head case and wetting the bed when they see that Georgia red.

An SEC teams loses one game and people think the wheels are coming off. It's happened to Georgia, LSU, and not Florida. I'll leave MSU out of this since we were never a national contender. All three of the teams all still very good and could beat just about any team from any other conference in the country. It's all a mute point because as pointed out no one is going to stop Alabama. They can't seem to do anything wrong. Kansas State, Oregon, or Notre Dame will bring all they have against Bama, but it won't be enough.

Of course when SoCal lost a single game it was just a hiccup on a great team's path to the title. Now that they've lost a second game it's all about how that hurts Oregon - nothing said about SoCal being a pretender...

BTW, GM... it's all about having lost to Georgia. Had you lost to LSU or USC by the same amount you wouldn't be called a pretender but rather a team on the cusp. Lose to the Bulldogs, however....

I am with GatorMan here too. It was a brutal conference game. Usually you lose one or two. Hell, look what SC did to the Dawgs. Just like Mizzou, who played three teams ranked in the top six including #1, and all the sudden everyone says we suck. Well actually we do right now...lol That said...Florida is no pretender. Just an off week.
