    Travis Jorgenson Decommits from Mizzou.

Well this morning Travis Jorgenson has decommited from Mizzou. He's a top 150 PG. He's wanting to take visits to other schools. Thing is there is'nt that many other offers equal to Mizzou. It was reported that it was not a mutual move. This was initiated by Travis. Mizzou still wanted him to commit.

Being so close to early signing period, this was alittle shocking and alittle odd to the sense of timing. Personaly I think this is a big mistake on Travis's part, but in the end it's his decission. I personaly think Mizzou should pull thier offer back and go out and find another recruit who really wants to be here. I also don't look at this as a huge loss. At this time were kind of loaded at PG position anyways. Another top150 forward would probably be a better addition.

So I wish Travis the best but Mizzou just needs to go nail down another top prospect.

Including him, didn't Mizzou have two PGs in that class?
KT is so knowelegable about basketball, he can back his **** up. He can rip a program 6 ways to Sunday, yet turn around in the next breath and explain why that same program should/could/will be/is a great program.

I like and respect kentubby, he does know his stuff when it concerns college basketball.

This board would be boring if it wasn't for Kentubby's posts and the responses he gets.

Kentubby is one of my favorite posters on this board. Sure he has some personal views, but this board would be so if everyone agreed all the time that it wouldn't be worth going to. I'd challenge you to find another poster on this board that knows as much about EVERY SEC team as he does. He knows more about lowly South Carolina and our recruiting then alot of our own fans do. It would be a sad day for the basketball forum if he ever left.

And doesn't Mizzou also have a 4* PG committed in 2014? Jorgenson probably realized that he wasn't going to get much PT at Mizzou.

I can see why he wouldn't want to come then. He's not even the best from a rankings standpoint at his own position in his own class and he may already be recruited over.

Actually, he visited Mizzou Maddness and loved it. He also interviewed and commented that his commitment was as solid now as it was when he first commited. I will concede that yes anything can happen between now and signing day. But he seems genuinely happy with his status. The nice thing about Haith is he will use up to two PG's a game and sometimes at the same time. So if there are a couple of quality PG's on the team. They will get thier minutes.

Yes it appears this way. But as you should well know from being a fan of Kentucky and the way college BB gows anymore. You never know how long these players will be around. It's anyones guess.

If Wesley comes in and has a big big season, who knows how long he will be around? One maybe two years? Who knows?

But would you rather play on a team like Mizzou thats going up against arguably the best college teams in the NCAA? Or would you rather play around on a team like OSU or Creighton or Boston College? Those are probably his top three as far as quality goes. He has'nt had a ton of offers from high profile programs really.

You never know, he may recommit next week. You can never tell.

I'm just not sure 3 or 4 PGs over a two or three class period is justified unless you're getting John Wall, Derrick Rose, Brandon Knight (and those types that are clearly goners after one year). Clark just ins't at that level I'd imagine (no offense).

Plus, I'm not sure Haith will always play two PGs at the same time as often as you think. He did it last year out of necessity, but his Miami teams, which seemed to be built on bigs, didn't even have one good PG sometimes.

Re: Travis Jorgenson Decommits from Mizzou.

Oh, no offense taken on Clark. The thing is you can never tell until the time comes and they get thier shot.

As far as using two PG's in the game. I can see Haith utilising both PG's in every game really if they are both quality players. Just from the point of view in that from time to time, players will have down games, injuries happen and it's just the fact that if you have good talent on your bench, you want to use it. If you don't, they will transfer. I think he knows this. Also, having two quality PG's at the same time gives your team instant quickness. This comes in handy when your looking to push the floor. Also, they can be handy when you come across a team like Mizzou had last year, small and quick. It gives you options. No, really I can see him utilising his point guards in this manner. Yes last year was out of necessity, but it was also a learning experience and this type of play got his team alot further than I think he thought they could or would have gone. Only time will tell though.
