Arkansas, Florida, Lsu all extend offers to Malik Monk today.

Malik Monk, 6-3 basketball player from Lepanto, Arkansas received scholarship offers from 3 SEC schools today. Monk is the younger brother of Razorback Marcus Monk, one of the best receivers to ever play for the Hogs.

Monk who is only a freshman has been getting rave reviews for his game at this early age. I didn't list a position for him because he's still growing. As a 2016 recruit it's possible he may play guard or forward.

Joe, how do you feel about early recruiting?
KT is so knowelegable about basketball, he can back his **** up. He can rip a program 6 ways to Sunday, yet turn around in the next breath and explain why that same program should/could/will be/is a great program.

This board would be boring if it wasn't for Kentubby's posts and the responses he gets.

Kentubby is one of my favorite posters on this board. Sure he has some personal views, but this board would be so if everyone agreed all the time that it wouldn't be worth going to. I'd challenge you to find another poster on this board that knows as much about EVERY SEC team as he does. He knows more about lowly South Carolina and our recruiting then alot of our own fans do. It would be a sad day for the basketball forum if he ever left.

I'm assuming you mean on kids not in the upcoming class. I'm okay with it for high school students and above. In this selfish age with players being primadonna's at a very young age being among the first to offer a scholarship is important in the recruiting process. Especially when it appears the kids will be one of those rare basketball talents.

I think you have to get an early start in order to keep up. Only a few select coaches (not even programs) can really get late on a guy that someone else has courted for 2 or 3 years.
