Surprised we're getting all the first place votes. Some other teams have looked really impressive thus far.

Half of the SEC in the top 25 and UF shooting to the top are the two things that stand out to me. I wonder if the Gator fans still want Muschamp fired? If SC gets past LSU and UF doesn't fall into a trap at Vandy the atmosphere in Gainsville the next week will be off the chain.

CBSSports.com has Bama playing WVU in the BCSCG. I guess they don't think Oregon is gonna beat SoCal. South Carolina deserves to be #3 right now. Also, Texas A&M is ranked, giving the SEC 7 schools in the top 25. Not bad at all.

The logic of the voters is that Florida State could not fall below Clemson because FSU beat Clemson head-to-head.

I was mad last year but I resolved in the offseason to support Muschamp regardless. I came to terms with just how bad things were that he inherited. I actually expected improvement but nothing too big this year. That is why in the BGSU thread I resolved to accept this was not a good season ahead but did not call for his head. I knew this would take time. I was just apparently too conservative on that time frame because this is way ahead of my expectations. I am full onboard with Muschamp. The upside is he is building a sustainable program not built on one or two super stars. I am happy to have been wrong, very wrong, about this season's team. They are a great bunch playing hard as a team. Muschamp committed to building toughness and its showing.

I think part of the frustration early in the season was Muschamp strangling control of the offense. That is not his forte and there's a reason why he hired Brent Pease as OC from Boise State. I think Muschamp has finally learned that less is more in regard to offensive input.

I think Muschamp also was burned last year by giving away full control of offense to Weis and there was a trust being built there with Pease maybe. But he certainly wanted this team to learn to convert short yardage and they did that v LSU no less. Hard lessons are paying off.
