    Berge!

Yeah, I don't post very often.

However, I was fired earlier tonight and wanted to vent.

Just wanted to rant a bit...

So I have worked in restaurants for quite a while now, almost 6 years, 4 different places. I am quite aware how getting fired from a restaurant means nothing, considering I could probably get a job at the place next door tomorrow if I wanted it.

I worked at a Melting Pot since about May/June. I enjoyed it, mostly, except for one person: the general manager.

The moment I met him, I thought he was a sleaze ball. His personality from the interview, and the fact that he was a manager of a restaurant, and in my experience, they are generally sleazy (of my 15 different ones, all by 4 match my definition of sleazy). Anyway, I let it go so I could get the job, make money, etc.

It was a decent place to work. Most of the employees were very fun to be around, the client?Ūle was, for the most part, classy. A nice step up from Chili's. A month or two later, my girlfriend followed me and worked with me. No, that wasn't a big deal to me, and it was fine.

Now this guy and I head butted for several months. I never thought he liked me, and others had agreed with me that he showed it in the workplace. I let it go. Every once in a while I would call him out on his stupidity. For example, once, a roach was on the wall, and he decided not to kill it, but to flick it away. What he did was flick it near all the wine glasses. No, it didn't land on them, but it very capable of doing it.

A week ago we got in an argument about what was considered rude.

    Let's create an example:
You are eating, and the server drops the bill, you pay (credit card), and the signed copy is sitting on the table and you are talking for a little afterwards.

I think it is rude for me to come and take the bill from your table until you have left because I am still working for what is on that bill until you leave, no matter how big or small that tip is. If I take the bill and you want something else, I, essentially, could laugh and say you already tipped me (yeah, that would never happen).

My manager argued with me that it is not rude, no matter what the customer thinks. I laughed at the though of him getting in an argument with customers that they are wrong about thinking something is rude. This got him mad and he threatened that if I ever disagreed with him again he would tell me to leave his restaurant.

Tonight, after I finished my work he asked me to sit down and he told me:

"I thought long and hard about it, and I think that you and the restaurant are going in different directions and I think we should part ways. This will be your last shift."

OK, fine. My plan was to quit in the next month anyway if I got the internship I wanted.

It was out of the blue and surprised me, considering I did nothing but agree with him and be polite since out argument. He was my manager after all.

So I was waiting for my girlfriend to finish because we rode together, I was telling my coworkers about what just happened and he asks to talk to her. She immediately says she is getting fired, and I was preparing myself to get mad; she did nothing wrong. Sure enough, "We are parting ways too."

I run into his office and tell him calmly, "That is the least professional thing I have ever seen."

He responds, "Thanks, you have a great night." And he grinned.

He fired her to get at me. He took pleasure in hurting me. He was THAT low. He just did that. I cannot believe it. At no point in my life did I think that I would run into such a downright awful person who would take his position and potentially screw someone over like that just to get at someone he didn't like.

My girlfriend, unlike me, is from out-of-state, so no TOPS, just a tuition waiver. She has a lot more to pay for because of that. I had the job to keep my loans lower. She needed it in ADDITION to her loans.

I'll end my vent. Thanks for reading all of this if you did.

Go to his house and slash his tires tonight. He'll know it was you but at the same time won't be able to prove it. Just use gloves so you leave no fingure prints.

I'm not kidding either. That's some really dirty, tire slashing deserving sh!t.

Sand in the gas tank. Wear gloves, and when he confronts you about it just smile and tell him it wasn't you.... but to have a nice day.

^^^^Be sure to have someone taping his confrontation with you. That way when he hits you, you can use Elvis or DawginDallas as your lawyer in the lawsuit against his company.

Take sandpaper and file off the tips of your fingers so there will be no fingerprints. Break into his house. Hog tie him where he can't move. Put in a porn to make sure he gets aroused. Tie razor wire around that S.O.B.'s unmentionables and tie the other end to your tailgate. Then take off like a bat out of Hell. He deserves it, so don't feel bad the next day.

Appreciate the wonderful life God has given you. It could be far far worse.

Seriously Berge, try not to sweat it. People like that will get what's coming to them eventually. Just put that scumbag out of your mind and move on with your head up. You're better off in the long run just not having to deal with him anymore.

Appreciate the wonderful life God has given you. It could be far far worse.
