Thumbs up Forbes.com ranks the value of CFB Programs

The SEC has eight programs in the top 20.

    The article is here.

Irritating Flash slide show of the rankings, here.

    The summary:

    Notre Dame -- $101 million
    Texas -- $92 million
    Georgia -- $90 million
    Michigan -- $85 million
    Florida -- $84 million
    LSU -- $76 million
    Tennessee -- $74 million
    Auburn -- $73 million
    Alabama -- $72 million
    Ohio State -- $71 million
    Oklahoma -- $70 million
    South Carolina -- $69 million*
    Penn State -- $69 million
    Southern Cal -- $53 million
    Arkansas -- $53 million
    Texas A&M -- $50 million
    Washington -- $50 million
    Nebraska -- $49 million
    Michigan State -- $44 million
    Wisconsin -- $43 million

    * South Carolina's value increased 22% over the course of the last year, more than any other team in the top 20.

The rankings also include profit and the amounts contributed to academics, but I was too lazy to summarize all that.

Crazy how much money Southern college football is bringing in. That's why they call it a secular religion...

With the problems ND is experiencing, wonder if this list will change somewhat in the coming year or two?
