Rising star of a freshman from Jackson, Mississippi is shining in the LeBron James camp. He's already hearing from a few schools, including MSU, Syracuse, and Kansas. Here is the article.

There is only one rising freshman participating in this camp. His name is LaQuinton Ross. He's from Jackson, Miss. He's really talented.

"I'm already hearing from a few schools," Ross said. "Mississippi State, Syracuse, Kansas. ..."

Trying to project what a kid who just finished eighth grade will be in four years is always a tricky proposition. But I feel safe suggesting Ross will develop into a fine player, if only because he's already a fine player. He's a 6-6 wing who runs the floor well, and an indication that he is already capable of competing at this level came when Ross scored the winning bucket in overtime of his team's game Sunday night.
