Early signing day has taken a toll on NSD

This used to be a great day for the site watching fans of various teams break down their classes and the excitement that it brings. Now, nost of the hay is in the barn.

Do yall like the new process or the old one?

BTW, Bama and UGA each just got a commit from a 5* CB...

There were only 29 5* athletes nationwide this year and the Dawgs signed seven of them. Wow... Kirby is on a roll.
    Go Dawgs!

I mean the bigger impact is coaching changes. Mullen did an amazing job to get what he did, especially including the WR transfers. It’s hard when ten days in with a partial staff you suddenly have a signing period. That said, overall, I like this better than the old version.

Re: Early signing day has taken a toll on NSD

I don't think coaching changes took the excitement out of NSD. I think the vast number of the top players who had committed meant there was less opportunity for drama. There were obvious exceptions - like Copeland and Walker. Just not as many.

Overall, I think it might be better for the players and the schools, but it is a far less exciting NSD.

What I meant was early signing hurt coaching changes worse than NSD excitement.

Yeah. That is very true. It could push that up into the season for immediate hires after seasons conclude.
