Texas A&M pushed them and they relied on a buzzer shot to escape Kansas State at home. Don't get me wrong, these are 3 great teams, but I don't think more than one will earn a #1 seed in the NCAAT. Kansas has 4 losses already.
Only one 1-seed is even remotely in play, with UVA, Nova and Purdue going to be 1-seeds likely and then Duke, Kansas, etc. could get the other one.
I watched the TAMU/KU game in the tourney but Kansas routed them. All three of those teams likely earn top 3-seeds and two or three more could be top 6 seeds. The SEC prob has one top 3 seed and four teams at a seven seed or better. Gonna be a glut of SEC teams as potential 8-9 seeds. Bama, Ark, Mizzou, USC, UGA, could all be 8-9 seed.

It seems to me the bubble is relatively weak this year. So I agree there could be 7-8 teams from the SEC as in.

I think after UVA and Villanova, maybe Purdue and Duke too, all teams are about the same. There isn't much difference between #7 and #27, not a big gap. No elite teams and a bunch of good teams. The SEC has to finish strong but most conference teams have a great SOS and some good wins so 7 is likely and 8 is possible.

I think so because the SEC is a Top 3 conference in the power rankings.

Third, just behind the B12 in rankings I saw. SEC is arguably better at the top than B12, with Auburn in top 6 RPI and UT at like 12. Auburn is higher than top B12 team while UT is higher than second B12 team.

I say the SEC is #2 right now because they beat the B12 in the SEC/B12 Challenge. Auburn didn't even participate.

Mark Fox...currently reaping the rewards of him refusing to develop anybody due to Maten and Frazier. Dead man walking next season if not fired after this season.
Georgia sports are like Charlie Brown. They will always tease you, and then Lucy will take that football up away from Charlie and he'll flip upside down, saying "Oh brother".

    Re: RPI before SEC openers

Florida must be pretty ****ty because they lost to us and UGA...hell after we beat Kentucky then Florida I thought for a second we might actually make the NCAAT again. Then we lost a heartbreaker to Texas Tech then after that HA! We suck ass. Not even NIT worthy.
