    The Confederate battle Flag

The red field represents the blood of Christ
The white border represents the protection of God.
The blue X represents the cross of St. Andrew, the first disciple of Jesus Christ, and the patron saint of Scotland.
The thirteen stars represent the thirteen states.
Through the blood of Christ, with the protection of God, We, the thirteen states are united in our Christian fight for liberty.

The red represents the blood of the slaves. The white border represent the clean clothes of the slave masters who never did a day of work in their lives. The blue cross represents the blue bloods that executed Jesus.

Weren't there only eleven states in the CSA? As I recall from school the slave states that remained in the Union were Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, and Missouri. So were the Gadsden Purchase, and Indian Territory of Oklahoma, the other two areas that increased the number of stars on the CSA flag to thirteen?

I believe MO was represented with a star on both Union & Confederate flags... while we battled an internal civil war. While the battles weren't all "robust", they were early & often... and pitting neighbors against neighbors.

There are still very divided parts of our state today...

11 states declared secession. Missouri and Kentucky were added because they had shadow governments and provided troops. One of my ancestors fought for the CSA in the 10th KY Cavalry (the Diamonds)
