SEC once again dominates draft day

Another year, another heap of SEC players going in first three rounds. An SEC guy went #1 (Myles Garrett), three of top six (Jamal Adams at six, Fournette at four), 12 in round one (Bama had four, with my Niners somehow landing a top ten-eleven prospect at 31 in Reuben Foster woot!) and a record 21 in first two rounds. And so far eight more have gone in round three with 11 picks left.

Bama leads way with nine, LSU has had like seven, Florida is represented, UT has had three picked, and that's just thru 96 picks.
"Alabama's cornerbacks don't impress me one bit. They're overrated. Real men don't play zone defense and we'll show them a thing or two come January 1."

Miami WR Lamar Thomas, the weeks before the 1993 Sugar Bowl national title game.

Dude I was HYPED. I literally yelled out loud haha. We somehow landed who Lynch had as his #3 player overall at 31. It was an absolute gift.

I liked the draft overall even if I'm not totally sold on Solomon Thomas (I'd have rather had a CB or WR but he seems to be a very good player). Landing Foster at 31 is amazing, I like the CB from Colorado and Joe Williams from Utah could be a huge steal as well. Plus we added some depth in the 2018 draft that probably won't be as good as this year's but we can parlay those picks into either trades or depth.

I was extremely skeptical but he had a fantastic start. Hopefully he can carry this momentum.

Same. Everything he has said and done since he was hired has been incredible. If you haven't read Peter King's MMQB from yesterday you really need to read it. He was in the 49ers Draft Room the entire weekend and the article is just awesome. Had no idea how involved Maraathe was.
