    Playoffs

Have been entertaining so far. The Memphis/San Antonio game was one of the best, if not the best of the year. The Grizzlies looked they were done after the first two games, but the coaches rant seems to have rallied the team.

The Rockets/Westbrook series has also been entertaining. Westbrook has been unbelievable all year, but it seems that all that work he has put in and all the minutes in the playoffs is showing up in the 4th quarter when he runs out of gas. Him and Harden make for a lot of fun.

The Celtics/Bulls and Clippers/Jazz have been fun.

But is it just a little entertainment on the way to the Warriors coronation, and will they get to get revenge on the Cavs or will another east team stop the Cavs, whol looked pretty bad at th end of the regular season but swept the Pacers.

Agreed. They seem to be far and away the best team this year.

    Re: Playoffs

Memphis has always been a thorn in the Spurs side, no surprise this series got close after two blowouts to start.

I'm loving the Jazz smacking around the Clips, if they can win at home they advance.

But no one is beating GSW, so it's academic at this point.

Seems like a 2-0 lead is not worth having. Hawks were also down 0-2 and came back to tie the Wizards. That's been an entertaining series as well.

    Fun Lebron stats...

Last night Lebron passed Kareem on the alltime scoring list in the playoffs. He is now second behind Jordan - which only highlights Jordan's magnificence. Jordan played 179 playoff games and scored 5987 points. Lebron has played in 205 playoff games and scored 5777. Kareem played in 237 games and scored 5762. Next on the list and also passed by LeBron this year is Kobe, who played in 220 playoff games scoring 5640. Rounding out the top 5 is Shaq who played in 216 games scoring 5250 points.

Lebron is also 3rd alltime in assists (Magic, Stockton), 3rd all time in steals (Pippen, Jordan), and 7th alltime in rebounds (Russell, Wilt, Duncan, Shaq, Kareem and Malone). While it is likely that Lebron will catch Jordan in points and may catch Pippen in sreals - he needs 25 more - he will never catch Magic in assists (he is 954 ahead of Lebron) and will never catch Russell in rebounds (Russell is 2291 ahead which is a staggering 478 more than Lebrons TOTAL)

Thanks for those awesome stats, DiD. Rep must spread.

LeBron will easily pass MJ in points, if that isn't obvious. I think a greater question is, will LBJ will more titles than MJ?

No. I don't think he will win another. He is getting older and his surrounding cast isn't getting better.

What makes Lebron interesting is he is so well rounded. He is probably a better passer than scorer, and he rebounds, blocks shots and steals the ball.

Spurs bounce back from game one smashing to roll Houston last night to make it 1-1.

LeBron gets more steals but Kawhi is the better pure on ball defender. When he is on Harden, he can really slow the beard down.

    Nobody denies this do they?

I love Kawhi. He is able to shut down Lebron as well as anyone has during Lebron's career. He also keeps getting better.
