It should be renamed the Briles Cup. And Baylor should win it every year

SEC dominates this Top 10 list of underage spring break arrests

SEC schools are no strangers to Top 10 lists, but the conference just “won” a distinction that none of its members would be proud of.

It’s no secret that the South knows how to party, but that reputation comes with its pitfalls. According to the NWF Daily News in Fort Walton, Fla., seven of the top 10 schools in underage drinking arrests in the area were members of the SEC.

South Carolina won the dubious distinction of first place with 38 arrests, followed closely by Iron Bowl contenders Alabama and Auburn, with 34 and 26 respectively. Ole Miss, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State also made the list. Remarkably enough, the SEC almost took the sweep, as two of the remaining three schools were Georgia Tech and Sewanee, both former SEC members.

To be fair, this list is likely skewed by proximity, as spring breakers tend to stay closer to home. With thousands of SEC students descending of the beaches of the southeast, underage drinking is to be expected.

The real question remains: are USC’s students more likely to be drinking underage or simply more likely to get caught?

    Here’s the full list:

    1.South Carolina
    2.Alabama
    3.Auburn
    4.North Alabama
    5.Ole Miss
    6.Georgia
    7.Texas A&M
    8.Georgia Tech
    9.Sewanee
    10.Mississippi State
