Although there have been some really close calls in opening games under Saban, he doesn't tend to lose these big games. I think the spread is probably about right with FSU returning so much and Bama reloading some key positions on both sides.

Yes, at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons.

First of three there for Bama this season. FSU, SECCG, CFPNCG.

Too many points. These two teams will start 1-2, and there should be no more than a 3-point spread either way. These two teams may be best two in country.

Alabama will win. History says Saban just doesn't lose these early season power matches. I'll be extremely surprised to see Bama lose to Florida State.

Talk about tough OOC schedules. Florida State has Bama and Florida, those two being probably the SEC's top two teams. That's even tougher than Florida's OOC.

Their ACC schedule isn't as strong this season but yeah that's a brutal OOC slate. If they split, it has to be considered a positive.

I'm not as sold as you are, Bama has serious holes to fill on defense. Pass rusher being most obvious. Lost the top three sack guys. Shaun Dion Hamilton should be good to play Fosters ILB spot and the secondary has talent but replacing Jackson and Humphrey won't be easy (although IMO Fitzpatrick is better pure corner than Humphrey) esp with Deionte Thompson being in all likelihood kicked off the team.

I completely agree. Alabama beat USC, 52-6 in the opening game last season. USC was ranked, too. Saban does excellent work in having his guys up for major OOC clashes. Plus 'Bama will be playing with that swagger that the end of last year was missing because of the NCG loss.
