As for Arkansas, they could not have looked better than they did against a decent Miami of Ohio team that finished second last season in their conference.
Arkansas swept the series by scores of 6-0, 5-1, and 11-1 to finish out on Sunday. Arkansas ended the opening weekend with a team ERA of 0.66, which I believe was the SEC's best ERA for opening weekend. No doubt Van Horn has a deep and talented pitching staff this season, maybe his deepest staff ever. Last season was a rare rebuilding on the mound year for Arkansas, but if opening weekend is an indication, Arkansas pitching is back in 2017.
