    Aldo/McGregor

Any UFC fans on here plan on watching this tremendously overhyped fight?

Was never a huge Aldo fan, but McGregor's fans are downright insufferable. I don't dislike McGregor as much as a fighter, he is exciting to watch but is a massive douche. Overconfidence is needed in combat sports, but at least win something first before putting yourself up there with the GSPs and Anderson Silva's of the MMA community.

Weidman/Rockhold for the MW title and the top contender for MW fight with Jacare/Romero.

Three VERY good and interesting fights, should be worth watching.

Don't follow UFC at all but saw McGregor knocked Aldo out in 13 seconds. I don't think that's what Dana White had in mind.

I think it was exactly what Dana White had in mind. It didn't matter if the fight lasted five seconds or five rounds. The spectators in the stands and the viewers on their couches already paid to see the fight. What mattered is that the most polarizing and entertaining fighter in the UFC walked out with the gold, and he did. If anything, the KO it only adds to McGregor's aura.

As for my personal opinion on the outcome, I love it. I'm an "insufferable McGregor fan". Mystic Mac said he'd finish Aldo, and that's exactly what he did.

    Then there's this little nugget:

$10.1 million gate, and there's no telling how many buys the PPV had. I can't wait to see that number.

If you watched the entire season of TUF you will see McGregor is truly not a douchebag. The guy is legit. He loves the sport, he cared about his fighters, he was respectful to most guys except Faber, but Faber is a dbag.

I love McGregor. I said before the fight for a month that he was going to destroy Aldo. Even if he didn't catch him with that left hook in 13 seconds he was going to murder him. The guy trains harder than everyone, he's an incredibly fluid mover and just stands in there and destroys people. I waited up till almost 1AM to watch that fight that lasted 13 seconds but it was totally worth it.

Yep. Everything he has ever said he was going to do, he does. Everyone says oh he's going to lose to Mendes. He's going to get killed by Aldo. He says no, I'm going to knock both of them the F out and he does it. I freaking love it. Haven't loved a guy like this since Forrest Griffin.

It was a flash KO guys, its not like he dominated Aldo for three rounds. Overconfidence is fine, but he is just so damn disrespectful its not funny.

People HATED Anderson because of his antics yet everyone loves Connor, why? Andy was more dominant, longer, and yet he always got **** but people love the white boy McGregor.

Conor is my favorite fighter by far, have been big on him for awhile now. That was exactly what I wanted to see last night. It was amazing to watch. I bet Dana White cried tears of joy lol

Wow really tell me you aren't playing the race card with Silva vs McGregor.

    Amen.
And yet you didn't answer the question. People HATED Silva for his actions, yet people are lining up to wash McGregors feet. Why? Everything Connor does, Anderson already did it more spectacularly and for longer. Anderson talked ****, chided his opponents into his fight, and won fights in brutal fashion. Those are the things people praise about McGregor, but its the same things those same people used to hate on Anderson for.

If its not about race or nationality, what is it?

I don't even know who you are talking about, but I am sick to death of the race card. The Camster used it this week. Who hates Russel Wilson, Camster. I realize you are a little slow, so i will help you. No one hates Russel Wilson, and he is black.
