    2015 NBA Draft

So the draft is Thursday, any huge surprises?

Minnesota has the #1 overall pick, its pretty safe to assume that Karl Towns is going to be a T-Wolf. That team, with him and Wiggins, could be seriously good in 3-4 years.

Picking 2nd is LA, but not the LA we are used to lol, the Lakers pick second, is it Okafor to pair with Randle? There are several foreign prospects in the mix, a seven footer from Latvia, a stretch four, but I doubt the Lakers take a foreign prospect over the idea of Okafor as a traditional center, or De'Angelo Russell as the PG of the future. I doubt they go PG because I figure they will go all-in on Russell Westbrook when he hits free agency, but Russell would be a helluva addition to Kobe and Randle.

    The top five picks are:
    1-Minnesota
    2-LA Lakers
    3-Philadelphia
    4-New York Knicks
    5-Orlando
    6-Sacramento

The top six prospects, IMO, are:
    Karl Towns, C, Kentucky
    Jahlil Okafor, C, Duke
    De'Angelo Russell, G, Ohio State
    Justice Winslow, F, Duke
    Emmanuel Mundiay, G, China

I have not seen much of the foreign guys (Kristaps Porzingis, the stretch four, and Mario Herzonja from Croatia, a 6'8 scoring guard), and there is a lot of quality in this draft with some mocks projecting talents like Jerian Grant, Tyys Jones, Delon Wright, Myles Turner, Kelly Oubre and Cliff Alexander all potentially going to playoff teams.
Imagine the Rockets landing a guard like Grant or Jones, damn that team would be elite.
San Antonio, picking 26th, could land a player like Alexander, Justin Anderson (although even if available, he does not bring offense to the table and he is basically a lesser Kawhi Leonard), Sam Dekker, or Rondae-Hollis Jefferson.

Very good draft, and UK will be will represented, with four going top 20 probably. The SEC likely ends up with six first round picks (KAT, WCS, Lyles, Booker, Portis, Mickey).
"Alabama's cornerbacks don't impress me one bit. They're overrated. Real men don't play zone defense and we'll show them a thing or two come January 1."

Miami WR Lamar Thomas, the weeks before the 1993 Sugar Bowl national title game.

    Re: 2015 NBA Draft

Prob 1st trade of many as Orlando sends Luke Ridnour to Memphis for the rights to Latvian forward Janis Timma who was a 2nd rd pick in 2013.

Kristaps Porzingis is in that group of best prospects you have listed and won't go past the top 5. Lakers have worked him out a few times and he loves NYC(also believes he can handle the NYC media). Almost assured that Towns is going #1, but the Lakers are in an interesting position because they are going after Wade, Aldridge, and Cousins. Either of the bigs are a notch above Okafor so it will be interesting to see what they do.
