    Re: NBA Playoffs 2015 Thread

OKC fires Scott Brooks today, hearing Billy Donovan is a serious leader to get the Thunder job.

My Spurs looked terrible in Game 1, hoping its an abberation and not the norm. SAS will not miss as many gimmie shots at the rim and they will play better, but LAC are red hot and loaded with talent.

GS has to draw some heat for their antics, no other team would get a pass for beating their chests constantly like the Warriors do now. They have very likable guys like Draymond Green, Curry, Igoudala, Thompson, etc... but all the arrogance could be their undoing. I can promise you that they cannot simply show up and beat any team other than New Orleans left in the West. The Clips, the Rockets, Blazers, Spurs or Grizz can very well check their **** and send them home.

Glad Budz got Coach of Year over Kerr even tho Kerr's accomplishment was greater, winning the West with that kind of record as a first year coach is pretty damn impressive

50-47 at halftime by the Hawks. Not playing well at all tonight so far and leading anyhow.
Georgia sports are like Charlie Brown. They will always tease you, and then Lucy will take that football up away from Charlie and he'll flip upside down, saying "Oh brother".

This game the Hawks got better contributions from Millsap and nothing from Carroll. Yikes. They're in pretty good shape as long as they don't lose both in New York but that was not a good display of shooting by them tonight. And they really need to end the series fast because it seems like this team likes to bang them up.

The Spurs, with Parker hurt and Ginobli fouling out and Duncan playing 44 minutes, got a win in overtime in LA last night. Duncan had a great game, Leonard hit big shots, and Patty Mills did a great job filling in for Parker.

The series is now 1-1 headed to San Antonio, but Parker's health is a serious concern, as is Splitter's health.

At what cost though? You think they went all in to win a game (that I will admit they needed) to the point to where it might be detrimental for Game 3?
KT is so knowelegable about basketball, he can back his **** up. He can rip a program 6 ways to Sunday, yet turn around in the next breath and explain why that same program should/could/will be/is a great program.

I like and respect kentubby, he does know his stuff when it concerns college basketball.

This board would be boring if it wasn't for Kentubby's posts and the responses he gets.

Kentubby is one of my favorite posters on this board. Sure he has some personal views, but this board would be so if everyone agreed all the time that it wouldn't be worth going to. I'd challenge you to find another poster on this board that knows as much about EVERY SEC team as he does. He knows more about lowly South Carolina and our recruiting then alot of our own fans do. It would be a sad day for the basketball forum if he ever left.

Maybe. My point was more general. They may seem out manned, too old or whatever. Yet the character and the coaching in that organization always finds a way to win at the highest level.

That being said, I don't think the Spurs represent the West this year, I actually think it will be the Grizzlies or the Warriors, but would it surprise me if it were the Spurs? Nope.

    Re: NBA Playoffs 2015 Thread

I agree. As an outside since you brought up repping the West? Do you think the NBA needs to go away from geographic division and just seed the top 16 teams as one whole field? I know there has been some minute talk about that this year.

No, I think they should keep the two conferences, it is cyclical.
