    he University of Wisconsin released contract information on Tuesday for the eight assistants hired by new head football coach Paul Chryst for the 2015 season.

    Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach Joe Rudolph, whose contract expires in 2017, will make $570,000 annually with a base salary of $300,000.

    Defensive Coordinator Dave Aranda is to be paid $520,000 annually, including a base salary of $300,000. His contract also expires in 2017. Aranda made a reported $480,000 last season.

    The contracts of the remaining assistants expire on June 30, 2016.

    Ted Gilmore (Wide Receivers) - $265,000.

    Chris Haering (Special Teams) - $250,000.

    Tim Tibesar (Outside Linebackers) - $250,000.

    Inoke Breckterfield (Defensive Line) - $215,000.

    Daronte Jones (Secondary) - $215,000.

    Mickey Turner (Tight Ends) $125,000.

    Many places have tough admissions standards. That has nothing to do with coaches.

    Wisconsin doesnt have a standard state taxe either (4 separate tax brackets)...just saying...Used to live there...tons of family from there.....The money is not why they cant keep a head coach

    Dawgalious, the governor of Wisconsin has proposed cutting $300 billion from the University system. However, I don't think Football is affected by the amount of state funding as generally speaking funding from sports is supported by funds from tickets and donations. I just think Wisconsin is underpaying its coaches.

    That was the reason given for Bielema's departure. A Power 5 TE coach makes $125K at Wisconsin. That is ridiculous.

    His name is Barry Alverez. He doesn't believe in paying top dollar for coaches. Unless it's for himself as a interim in a bowl game...
