There hasn't been a repeat SEC champion since 1997, 1998 Tennessee

That's 16 years and counting. Even Saban couldn't get it done during his dynasty years when they were consistently ranked top 3 almost every week.

Repeat national champ is easier and it has been done FWIW.

Like I said yesterday, to bet any one team will win the Sec west is a dice roll, then, winning the overall is like a lotto ticket.

The best bet is to bet against Auburn repeating it seems by the stats. To bet one SEC team to top thirteen others is kinda like why the Indian said a white dude is stupid to bet one horse can beat eleven others in a race.

I can't help but reflect on how it's taken for granted that the SEC West is so dominant. It was only in the last 5-10 years that the East was superior, and the West was rather weak. but it was still SEC for everybody. It'd be wise for everyone to keep that in mind, because it's getting ready to shift back once again, IMO.

that there hasn't been a repeat champion, IMO, reflects how difficult it is to be the champion of this League. I've always thought the SEC Title meant as much or more, usually more, than the NC. this only underscores that point.

I think AU is good enuff to pull it off but that doesn't mean that much...just my opinion and they might have used all of their good luck last year...

A different SEC back then. There was a 4-peat that preceded UT's repeat.
