Tiger has not played well in the second round this year - 75 @ Congressional, 73 at Doral, 69 at the Honda Classic, and 71 at The Farmers Insurance Open - at a average of 72, which is most commonly an even round. Not that I want him to choke, but even won't get it done, especially with all the players - McIlroy, Furyk, Sergio, Adam Scott and others - in contention and playing well.

3 under on the day is a good way to start. Considering it's only his second tourny since back surgery, I'm not expecting much

Rory McIlroy is your leader (still) at -13. He's -1 today thru 14 holes. Rickie Fowler and Sergio Garcia are the next closest, at -11 and -9, respectively.

I'd say McIlroy looks to be in very good shape headed into the final round. Not a fan of his at all but the kid is playing solid golf in this tournament. Hard to deny that. I think it would be awesome if an American were able to make a charge into tomorrow and some how come away with the win. Furyk, Dustin Johnson, and Fowler are all the closest to Rory.

Rory McIlroy is your 2014 Open Champion. Congrats to, Rory... the little brat!

The headline on the Yahoo! Sports Golf page reads, "McIlroy cements legendary status with Open win". Umm, what kind of nonsense is that? He won a major by 2 strokes. How is that "legendary"? Tiger still has 12 more majors....

I don't dislike or like McIlroy, but he has 3 Majors at what 25. Will he go on a Tiger run? I highly doubt it, but he certainly could get double digit majors before his career is over.
