Well there are still a few of us that actually care about our football program. My family has had season tickets for almost 50 years, and I've havent missed a home game since the '97 season. Now I'm realistic in saying that we will probably never compete for a national championship. But I do expect to be competive. What we are seeing now is a joke (pun intended). And I do realize that we are EXTREAMLY young. But it just seems like this team has completely given up. And that unacceptable. If Mitch doesn't get rid of joker,it's only going to get worse.

I don't know if there is any correlation at all here. but when Cal was at Memphis, we actually had a good (for Memphis) football coach that wanted additional resources for the football program to continue to improve. When the football coach didn't get what he wanted and deserved, he ended up leaving Uof M and alluded to the fact that there was no interest in the football program because Cal and the powers that be wanted all focus on BBall. Memphis drove away the best football coach they had in several years because he wasn't being given the support he deserved to keep being competitive. Cal and the AD are now both gone, and Memphis is back on track to improve in football with a new coach being hired and an obvious increase in funding to help support football.
Joker may be a horrible coach, or despite his freindship with the AD, he may just not be getting the support he needs because of a shift in focus being forced on the AD. Either way, the AD needs to go if he is not fixing whatever the problem is.
