Amazing class for Johnny Jones. The SEC already has four top 10 caliber classes in 2013 with Kentucky, Florida, LSU, and Arkansas. Tennessee would have one as well if they can add Austin Nichols.

Definitely hard work pays off here. Jones worked his butt off on this one. That said, this isn't much of a shock to me. I saw the thing on him at rivals yesterday. You could make the case that Martin is the best non UK recruit heading into the SEC, and he could even be better than some of our guys. (Not to mention LSU has the best name in 2013 recruiting with Deng Deng).
KT is so knowelegable about basketball, he can back his **** up. He can rip a program 6 ways to Sunday, yet turn around in the next breath and explain why that same program should/could/will be/is a great program.

I like and respect kentubby, he does know his stuff when it concerns college basketball.

This board would be boring if it wasn't for Kentubby's posts and the responses he gets.

Kentubby is one of my favorite posters on this board. Sure he has some personal views, but this board would be so if everyone agreed all the time that it wouldn't be worth going to. I'd challenge you to find another poster on this board that knows as much about EVERY SEC team as he does. He knows more about lowly South Carolina and our recruiting then alot of our own fans do. It would be a sad day for the basketball forum if he ever left.

1404, Terrence Jones is the name that's being bandied about as a comparison. That would be nice. (Terrence never played a college basketball season that didn't end with a Final Four).

TJones definitely had his detractors, but his talent was always undeniable. I haven't personally seen Martin in a meaningful game, so I can't say. However, if his talent's at that level playing within a structured system, you guys do have a player.

Just judging from scouting reports and rankings, Jones sounds like a good comparison.
LSU will struggle this year, but they'll be one of the more talented teams in the conference in 2013-14. Jones has LSU headed in the right direction.

1404, What's the mood around LSU with what Jones is doing? Seems like a homerun.
