I am going with Wisconsin. They will be throwing in a few trick plays to pull out the W.

It'll be interesting with Barry Alvarez back on the sidelines....see what tricks he'll have up his sleeve to get 1 win of these last 3 trips to Pasadena! GO WISCY!!

Wisconsin is taking a TON of late money. The line opened up at -6.5 to Stanford and in the last 5 days it has gone 3 points in Wisconsin's favor. -3.5 to Stanford right now.

When it came out Bielema was taking the Arky HC job, badger fans were feeling screwed for the Rose....and Alvarez said "back the F off....I'm on it!!"

Nice to see Alvarez back on the sideline for Wisconsin, even if only for 1 game.

Nice catch by Patterson for Stanford.

This game is over. Wisconsin cannot stop a balanced Stanford offense.

You don't see that everyday. A completion of the DL's helmet to your WR for Wisconsin. Ball runs it in on the next play. 14-7 Stanford.

Huge missed INT by Stanford keeps Wisky in the RZ.

And Wisconsin gets a TD pass. 17-14 Stanford with 19 seconds left in the 2nd quarter.

This game got real defensive in the 2nd half. Great HT adjustments by both teams.

And we've still got the Northern game to get thru.

And that is game for Stanford. Phillips throws an INT to seal the game.

Glad the Card pulled it out. Probably my favorite non-SEC team.

Now let's go NIU!

Would somebody please be kind enough to explain something to me because I've given up trying to figure this out since it's just so dumb IMO.

I can understand (maybe) Bielema wanting to "advance" and go to Arkansas, but........
Why in hades didn't he wait until AFTER the Rose Bowl to make the announcement instead of leaving his team hanging like that?
Is this something Arkansas insisted on? Or is Bielema just that much of an eejit? If it's the latter, then Arkansas deserves him.

Arkansas needed a coach as quickly as possible for recruiting purposes...

Yeah, but you can float "rumors" and hold off on the "official announcement" until after the game, right?

You can, but I don't think that is ideal. He also needed to build his staff. It is obvious that he had some major differences with the folks at Wisconsin. I am sure he didn't want to leave his kids in that situation, but I imagine Arkansas wanted him to get to town as quickly as possible.

DiD, his major difference was with Barry Alvarez.

I know. I guess I just don't get why deterp is surprised. This was in the best interest of Arkansas and recent history tells us they don't really hire high character coaches.

O-kaaay. Well. :rotf:

Wisconsin, however, does tend to take character into consideration which is why I was wondering just what went wrong in MadCit. OTOH, anyone who can't deal with Barry needs to get out of Dodge, and he did. I hope Arkansas is happy with this. ;) SiL and I are going to have some interesting conversations down the road. :)
