62-44 7:36 left....I was just about to start the thread..lol

Chaminade is up 64-49 with 5 minutes left. Texas needs a miraculous effort in order to come back at this point.

Chaminade has been the better team tonight.....Plain and simple
11-19-2012, 11:36 PM
come on Chaminade.....gotta hold on

Chaminade has some good talent....DeAndre Haskins, Kevin Hu and Waly Coulibaly. If Rhys Murphy can be healthy tomorrow they could beat either USC or Illinois

Chaminade wins 86-73. I understand that Texas is hurting without Kabongo, but losing to Chaminade by this much is pathetic for any program of this caliber. There's no rationalizing this loss.

awwww, awwwww, no just kidding,

Chaminade's won 6 or 7 games in this tourney, so it's not like it's a complete rarity that they win here and there. The way Texas lost was bad.

Who the hell is Chaminade............off I go to Google.
11-20-2012, 01:48 PM
They are the team that once beat the Mighty Sampson.
11-20-2012, 01:53 PM
They will always fight and compete and if you dont come to play them they will beat you and that what happened to Texas last night.

Chaminade are Div II but play teams like Texas every year in these tournaments in Hawaii. The Silver Swords...watch out for them.

they will def have to come to play tonight. illinois was on fire last night
11-20-2012, 02:21 PM
I think they have a legit shot to beat Illinois tonight, TBH. Illinois isn't as good as they played last night and won't come out to play as hard as they did.
Not saying it's a big shot, by any means. But it's a shot.
11-20-2012, 02:28 PM
oh yeah its a definite shot...Chaminade needs Rhys Murphy to be more healthy tonight. thats for sure. I wonder if they can guard Richardson and Paul for 40 minutes. texas' issue was a lack of leadership and illinois doesnt have that problem. it should be a good game tho

Chaminade probably isn't as good as they played yesterday either. It's not like they were playing out of their minds (they shot less than 40% and still won by 13), but I don't think Illinois will have all that much to worry about.

Chaminade will just play every possession as hard a sit can be played and they have a true belief that they can win the game and it starts with that. they fight for all the 50-50 balls. You can shoot under 40% when you make 34-39 from the FT line. They have some guys that could be playing D-1, thats for sure. I am sure illinois got the wake up call about them and it will be a different game tonight

They actually have guys that did play DI.
This Maui Invitational is wacky. Butler is working over UNC.
