According to Jeff Goodman he is retiring. Maryland isn't a bad job, I wonder who goes there now.

Odd timing... seems a little late, I would have expected it last month right.
It will be interesting to see who takes the job though, because it could cause another little mini-coaching carousel shakeup.

I don't know if Fox would have been considered, but he just signed a new contract.

I also think the timing of this is odd.

I've said for years even on this board that the one job that Tubby would probably leave Kentucky and/or Minnesota for would be Maryland, due to his roots there. Tubby was verbally committed to Maryland as a grassroots player, he's from Scotland, Maryland, and probably is a safe hire for a program like Maryland after losing one Hall of Famer. This should get interesting.
End of the day, I say, Tubby is coaching at Minnesota next year though.

Last I saw was Sean Miller and Maryland had mutual interest.

Really? I wouldn't classify Maryland as being better than 'Zona. If he makes that jump then it is a strange move, but will lead to an even bigger shake up because Arizona will go out and get a good coach.

I'd be shocked if Miller left Arizona for Maryland. To me they are equal jobs at best. Hell, Arizona may be better.

Zona is better than Maryland, simply because Miller has been there for two years and has the recruiting set. Hed have to reset at Maryland and would be like two years behind schedule.

Apparently there's something to the Miller to Zona thing because supposedly they are meeting sometime this week according to ESPN.

Well it won't be Miller. He just got a new contract from Arizona.

I think it was clear that Miller had a better situation atm and that any talk of Maryland was just to get a sweeter deal at 'Zona.
