If this proves true, great hire for NC State.

If it will keep them away from Fox I'm alright with it. I actually wondered they other day if they would try this since he's working in the same general area lol.

Wow. That's a bold move. I'm surprised it's not Rick Barnes sorta. I know it's just a rumor tho. They'd be getting a good one either way.

Great for CMG. He got a great job. He won't beat much Duke or UNC much, but he can recruit well. Of the three ACC openings (Miami hasn't filled theirs), this might end up being the better hire of them all.

The only drawback is Kay Yow is a tough AD to work for. She's rather demanding.

Gotfired will get eaten alive. Homebody better worked on his coaching during this recent downtime.

CMG is a decent coach. He has a decent resume. CMG is better off certainly, but it's not like he was producing losing years.

I like Gottfried better alongside Jimmy Dykes. Good opportunity for him. N.C. State has some talent if he can keep them around.

Gottfried is a great recruiter, but a horrible X & O's coach. His bench management concerning depth is also very questionable. This combination is not a great fit for a league like the ACC. Do have to say his best team at Alabama that made it to the Elite 8 was compared more to an ACC team than SEC team. He will have to duplicate that which is going to be hard.

I heard VCU was going to offer him 1.2 million to stay.

Why should NC st be tough. I know it's the third best program within a 30 minute radius, but UNC and Duke have both been down over the past five seasons even with recent titles. The ACC has a vaccum for third anyway. CMG can handle this job.
