Look for the MWC to come out of this Big 12 debacle a HUGE winner with an auto BCS bid.

Yep, I just saw this on ESPN. Apparently the MWC is interested in Missouri, Kansas State and Kansas but TCU is going to oppose Baylor.

That's going to be a really good basketball conference now if all those teams join. Kansas, K-State, and Mizzou all good programs to go along with New Mexico, BYU, UNLV, and SDSU.

That would be a solid overall conference

Edit: though, I would also look into adding another Texas school, maybe SMU to keep a good footing in Texas

If true, the MWC bailed out Mizzou, as they had no where to go.

Poor Baylor is gonna get stuck in CUSA or WAC

I've been thinking all along that the remnants of the Big 12 and MWC could join together. It would sure enough make a solid basketball conference and a decent one in football. It would be great if in the end the MWC ends up better than whatever the PAC-10 becomes.

They can have USM's place in the CUSA when the Eagles head off to the Big East, which according to some of their fans is about to happen. Personally I think cows would land on Mars before that were to happen.
