conflicting reports on Del Rio as to whether or not he's staying in Jacksonville.

Why not go after a guy like Richt?

Looking at former NFL coaches is a waste. NFL to College has had just as little success as College to NFL. With the minor exception Dave Wandstatt.

Dennis Franchione, Mike Price, ......... No elite coach will take that job.

They could do worse. What's wrong with that? I also think they will go after Washington's coach and I think Del Rio is in the hunt as well.

In fairness, their last failed NFL coach won them a BCS championship

del rio is waiting to get fired so he can cash in on $15 mil.

honestly, id offer kiffin. just looking at the Tenn recruiting is phenomenal. and he has ties to the area. he'd bring in coach o, and monte could retire.

depending on who they get, like an ESPN darling, he would be praised as the savior of the program and "somebody to bring them out of this" :rotf:

laughable.

Del Rio is apparently being retained if I saw the ESPN report correctly and he won't walk away for less money.

They should throw everything at Peterson. He likes the west coast and he wins at freaking Boise State.

Colin Cowherd mentioned Kiffin as a candidate this morning.

I personally don't see why Kiffin won't be a candidate but Cowherd is the only person in the media I've heard mention him which means nothing one way or the other. I've also heard Petersen's name and it sounds like it may be at the top of the list.
