Both teams are spiralling out of control it seems (one moreso than the other).

Question: Florida has a pretty "rowdy" fan base. How long does it take them to start chanting "NIT, NIT, N-I-T" in this game?

Predictions for the score? Predictions for the player of the game? Predictions for whom Hodge steps on this time?

I don't look for another trouncing for UK over UF like the last meeting. I think it goes down like this:

UK and UF tied with about 15 seconds to go. Calathes knocks down a three even though he is triple teamed. Meeks pushes down the court and with about 2.6 seconds is brutally assaulted shooting a three by Hodge. Meeks goes to the line with the chance to tie the game. He hits the first two and Gillispie calls a TO (that he doesn't have). UK loses the game and goes down in the annuls of history as the most disappointing UK team ever.

None. Last night did it for me. Of course, I'll be happy, but it will be bittersweet knowing we will still miss the NCAAT.

I'lll be pulling against conventional wisdom for UK to win the SECT. Anything short and I'm still ticked off.

How about Porter's layup?

Meeks has only hit one shot other than the easy breakaway layup.

Patterson had a great half, but he missed at least five shots in close that he would normally hit.

XPS
03-07-2009, 02:58 PM
The can't and won't shoot Cats...

Porter drives to the lane and kicks it out to Galloway, WHY??????????? He can't and won't shoot........

Porter won't shoot the ball, Miller won't shoot the ball over a 5-5 ft player

Meeks is the only one who will shoot outside and he is ice cold...

I'm going to miss Patterson...

Meek's replacement misses an open three that would have been Meeks'... and then we foul at the other end and set Florida up for the three point play. Largest lead of the game... I have a sinking feeling in my stomach I had previously never felt before except for the Georgia game.

You know this teams plays its best when it removes basically all elements of coaching. When they get up and down they score and force turnovers. When they try to play half-court they are the worst team in the country. So... logic would dictate that you ignore the idiot shouting at you from the sidelines to slow it down and start running.

What is UF's SOS? I can't believe we still get conversations about making the tournament, our SOS must be better than Florida's, but it can't be that much better. If we beat UGA we'll only be at 21-8 for the season. We had a pretty weak non conference schedule (aside from Baylor and Clemson) and still lost to the College of Charleston early on.

Patterson should have come to Florida. There's no telling how good we would have been last year with him and Speights inside.

Also, our strength of schedule is 91 and we're at 53 in the RPI. South Carolina is at 47 and 84 by comparison. I really think if Florida wins today and knocks off Arkansas and Auburn we're probably in the Big Dance.

Calathes wasn't projected as a point guard out of high school, tough I'm not sure why. We always had him at the 2 spot and that's how it was for almost all of last year. Huh? Looked to me like Billy was apologizing for something. I guarantee Billy had no complaint about the TO's, although the fans did.

Well I prefer to think Gillispie just got *****ed out. lol

LOL, I'm sure he would rather hear Billy *****ing than the UK fans. A loss in the SECT and Gillespie better hole up with a truck load of Captain.

Why give him one more year? If you can't coach your team to the ncaa with a lottery pick(Patterson) then you don't deserve to coach at any level...

Well I'm 100% certain he gets another year. Though I don't agree with it. There are several younger coaches that are establishing themselves right now and are going to have great post seasons. You have to land those guys before people start to say they would be stupid to leave their current school.

I know if UK doesn't make the dance ( they still have a shot ) UK fans will be up in arms, but really, what are the chances Gillespie gets canned? I think there's a better chance of him quitting ( voluntarily lol ) than getting fired.

He can just walk away, no contract has been signed. The heat will be off the charts...

Has he really yet to sign a contract? Can Kentucky just say "thanks see ya later"?

That's what I'm hoping for, why would he want to come back with Patterson and Meeks gone?

have the kids on the team at UK tuned out CBG, similar to what happens with the players in the NBA and ownership comes in and makes a coaching change?

Maybe the players have turned on Gillispie. Gillispie's way of interacting with players is interesting to say the least. You either really like him or really dislike him. Maybe he's pushed the players away and now they're not responding.

Good win Florida BTW. I was out of town and didn't get to catch the game.
