Big game for UK... big game. We must win this game, otherwise we dont' deserve to be in the NCAAT for sure IMO.

Anyway, it'll be Jared Carter's last game at Rupp hopefully (meaning we're not hosting any NIT home games there).

Jodie Meeks vs his homestate school. Albert Jackson vs his homestate school.

UK by 25. UGA is horrible on the road.

I think we're favored by around 22. I feel pretty safe in this one. We can't afford to overlook them though.

Yeah, I feel confident too, but it's postseason time now. My local high school got taken to 2OT before we finally beat a team that we've already beaten twice this year. You can be too overconfident at times.

If we don't win this then there is no way we should get in the tourney.

If we lose this game, then I'm switching over to be a Duke Blue Devil fan.

j/k, but I will be terribly mad.

We've lost two in a row, so we will win this one by 15 going away.

Then after having won a game we will lose in Florida by 55.

after the we've played here recently i don't believe that any game is a gimmie. i do think that will beat uga but ya never know. i just hope and pray that billy g will start the 5 he started the second half with against l.s.u.

Y'all Wildcat fans have got to be kidding me? You're going to stomp a mudhole in their arse and walk it dry! AR is one of the worst teams in the SEC and just got through destroying Georgia. Have a little faith! It's not like your team has only won two SEC games this year? :sad2:

Meeks might hang 1/2 a hunerd on 'em... :thumb:

(I got started early today! )

No worries for UK in my opinion. As bad as I hate to say it, UK should win this one with little to no effort at all.

I just want to see us play every possession like its not the first game of the season. I don't expect to lose this at all, but I want to see us look like something worthy of a Tourney team.

I say Cats by 12.

Tip off is a few hours away. I hate Wednesday night games, because I'll always miss at least one half due to church. I love UK, but church is way more important. Way more.

We only have Wednesday services every other week.

UGA shooting well so far, but UK up 15-14 6 minutes in.

Anyone in the SEC can beat anyone this year on the court. UGA is no exception, I'm really worried about that road game for us.

boxvic
03-04-2009, 09:07 PM
I'm confused... is UK playing this bad, or is UGA playing this good? Becacuse part of me wants to rail on about how bad we look, but we have the lead at half and I think Porter is our leading scorer. If we can have the lead when Meeks and Patterson aren't shooting well then we must be playing a good game, which means UGA is playing a good game. At the same time though UK has looked like crap at times meaning they are playing a bad game... I'm just really confused...

Djshockley3
03-04-2009, 09:07 PM
UGA really messed up at the end of the first half. That was pathetic, but they are playing good so far.

SkyAntoine
03-04-2009, 09:08 PM
I'm not surprised by this at the half. Porter is 8x the player that Meeks is tonight. That is a recipe for disaster.

SkyAntoine

Is Gillispie trying to throw this game away? Worst lineup ever and he refuses to change it.

Geez....why are we in this position? Up until those FT's by Meeks, Porter was the leading scorer.

GDawg88
03-04-2009, 10:08 PM
Unbelievable. The Dawgs just played out of their minds tonight, but it couldn't have come at a worse time for UK. Their season is essentially over and Gillispie is a dead man walking.

So, whoever wins tomorrow night between USC and UT is the out-right winner of the East, no matter what....USC has UGA in Athens as it's last opponent, although right now that's looking more tougher by the minute, lol. UT will have Bama as it's last opponent, and Bama has been playing much better recently. But it will be in Knoxville.

UK and UF will play each other for the honor of NOT ending this season 8-8 in the SEC.......crazy!

Why would Arizona want him?

I'm saying Jamie Dixon to Arizona, Sean Miller to Pitt, and Billy G. to the unemployment line.

SkyAntoine

Congrats Dawgs. You looked terrible in our first game and laid over, but they played a heck of a game tonight.

No excuse for us to lose this game. None. Gillispie just asked for the heat.

03-04-2009, 10:14 PM
Well If I were Billy I'd get the hell out of Lexington because there will be fans that just doesn't want him here, sure were not expecting to get a NCAA title his second year but for the love of god get into the damn tournament......Freaking Pitiful, no team should ever start 5-0 in there conference and not make the tournament. The one year that I thought UK is starting to get better has now become more then likely one of the worst in UK's history, the only way UK will get into the tournament now is if they beat UF then go to Tampa and win the SEC tournament....which we all know will not happen. So NIT's here we come!!!!!!!! and I don't even think we deserve to get there.

UGA has now ruined UK and UF's seasons. I can't believe they pulled that off. Woodbury went off. Good game Cats, UGA just could not miss tonight.

Don't know what to say to the UK fans. I think their statements alone will tell the story.

BCG will be back next year. But, if there is not substantial improvement, imo, he's gone. We're going to miss the NCAA for the first time in 18 years and probation...totally unacceptable. The UK basketball program has sunk to football levels lows.

It may not last long if you get the right guy. In 2006 the LSU baseball team missed the post season for the first time in 17 years. We missed it again in 2007. However, in 2008 we were right back in the College World Series.

GDawg88
03-04-2009, 10:25 PM
What has to be disheartening for UK tonight is they shot 9-20 on 3's and 26-28 from the free throw line. You should never lose with those numbers.

Arizona is a plum job out west......but as dominant a basketball conference the Big East has been lately, to coach one of its' premier programs as Dixon has done IMO warrants more than Arizona, should he want to move on....

someone on this board kind of dissed me when i referenced the UGa coach was a very accomplished coach. the players did not just stumble to victory at Rupp or over UF and Vandy for that matter. they were prepared.
i think Georgia wins the SECT again.

No way that would suck. If that happens Georgia might entertain the idea of keeping the interim coach.

Do you want to know what really blows? I just finish reading this thread and decide to actually turn ESPN on so as maybe to see some coverage of this game - and the Cowboys just released Terrell Owens so all we'll get for the rest of the night is more coverage of an overblown publicity hound... damn!

I hope not. They may offer Herrman a 5 year contract. He is older than me.
