I wanna see what kind of defense Jodie has to face this time around after putting up 54 last time.

Lots of bad blood in this game between the players. Lots of trash talk going back and forth. Should be fun.

I think Meeks will blow up again.

I expect this game to get chippy early. I'm just glad they don't have Ron Slay anymore. I hated that guy.

If I were to ever pray for a astroid to crash into earth and destroy an arena it would be Rupp at Halftime of this one. I think UT will get physical with Meeks early and try to get him out of his game. Should be a good game. I think UT pulls this one out though.

I'm crushed after last nights loss. I don't think we win another game the rest of the season.

I'm just gonna watch Meeks last game versus UT over and over and over....

I expect this game to get chippy early. I'm just glad they don't have Ron Slay anymore. I hated that guy.

The greatest quote of the season, after Jodie swished a free throw for his 50th point in TBA, he looks at Bobby Maze and says, "that's fifty." Then, Patrick goes, "if somebody scored 50 in my arena my mouth would have been shut." Great time.

Hopefully, we can recreate that Saturday.

I like Tennessee's chance in Rupp if Patterson isn't going to be effective. UT has been playing much better defense since the 54 point outburst. Of course if Meeks gets hot it really doesn't matter how well you guard him. JP Prince has been playing really, really well of late making the front court of Chism, Smith, and Prince tough to deal with. I like Tennessee 74, Kentucky 69.

IMO Meeks will go 8 for 29, score 28 points with 1 rebound and 1 assist and 1 steal, as UK loses a tough one to UT: 74-61. Although I hope that UK beats UT, so we can be all alone atop the East....

Hey, weege, one thing I will say is that other than this year's previous game when only one guy scored over 9 points, Perry Stevenson has usually played well versus Tennessee. I think he's one guy that has the athleticism and the height (maybe not the size), but the athleticism to really hold his own with UT.

Yeah, Perry's had some big games against the Vols. We'll need one this weekend. But just to make certain the Cats will win I'm going to this one. I missed the Florida game due to lack of a babysitter, but I'll definitely be at this game.

I want to see Meeks break his scoring record against UT in person. And I want to laugh at the lack of amazement I have with Bobby Maze. He "puts it on for Tennessee" apparently...

Following the Vandy loss this game is now Huger than Huge. Historically we have split with UT every year of the Pearl era. That streak ends Saturday. I think the Vols will concentrate all their efforts on Meeks, and Patterson will dominate them. PP will be sneezing hurricanes and tornadoes as his fury and frustration is unleashed on the helpless Vols. PP and Meeks go for 60+

The same. If Patterson is 80-100% UK probably wins, if not then I like UT. I thought all along Ole Miss was the tougher game this week if Patterson isn't close to 100%.

Biggest game to date in the SEC for both NCAA implications as well as SEC divsion implications

Losing on the road to OM and AU has put us in a virtual must-win situation today

I don't feel good about the game, but most of the time in the last 4 years when I haven't felt good about a game, we've won, so we'll see LOL

I don't feel it is a must win, but a game that if UT wins they will for all intents and purposes be in the NCAA's. UT's strength of schedule and rpi are so much better than the other teams on the bubble in the SEC that they would have to probably two games worse than UK, South Carolina, and Florida. 9-7 and Tennessee will be fine from what all the bracketologists have said and they are usually right.

SkyAntoine

This game worries me. I think a lot depends on how much the Vols think they have to prove after last season at Rupp and the Meeks explosion this year. If Pearl can keep them up for this game, then I think UT could leave Rupp with a win.

Likewise, the Cats have to be up for this game. If they come in flat and the crowd is flat, then I don't like our chances. Patterson will likely be limited if he plays and I'm not using that as an excuse.

Who really knows about either of these teams this year? Both teams have been a disappointment thus far.

Not necessarily a must-win in terms of number of wins, but for 1. confidence of some of the young guys, as right now, I'm not sure they think they can beat a good team. A win in Rupp may help them finish the season on a strong note 2. a bye in the SECT. A loss today and we've put ourselves in a hole bc jumping KY would be virtually impossible due to tiebreakers, so we'd then have to win at either UF or SC to be in good shape

As I've said before, I'm still not as condident as you in getting into the NCAAT, but a win today would boost my confidence tremendously LOL

You know what, I don't care how basketball dumb he might be, or how bad he might be on defense, there is absolutely no reason Stewart shouldn't get minutes in every game.

Everyone knows about Meeks, but honestly I think Stewart has the better pure offensive talent. I really didn't know he was as good of a shooter as he is.

Liggins still has no idea how to play the game of basketball. If Stewart is accused of a low basketball IQ then I don't even want to know how low Liggin's is.

Meeks isn't really working for the ball so far. He's abandoned the "run around until someone passes the ball to you" offensive set. We're not even sitting screens for him.

Glad we were hitting shots without Meeks, but we ran out of steam down the stretch and UT picked back up. Meeks needs touches.

This is classic drive by media that we have these days 'A source recently told me that Gillispie made a past, amorous advance at Edwards which was subsequently denied by the ESPN reporter"

Edwards denies that BG made an advance out right but everyone still wants to promote the unfounded rumour just because it is good conversation. What has happened to good old honesty and integrity.

We have let the news media rob us by spewing lies and we believe every word they write. So we call BG an Ass because he says that that a stupid question is stupid.

I got to go to this game and the curse has been lifted. The Cats are now 1-2 when I attend games at Rupp this year. I think it's quite amazing that Meeks scored 40 less points (and hit 10 less threes - 0) and yet we won by more points than last time. It was a great team effort with Miller contributing in every facet of the game (17 3 6). He is going to be an awesome player for us in the next couple years.

So much talent, the sky is the limit for Miller. If he can be that 3rd scorer on a consistent basis, UK will be hard to beat...

Good win for UK. I think the talk of Meeks needs to have a big game for us to win is a bit overrated. As we see in this game, he had his SEC season low, and the rest of the guys chipped in.

These team wins when guys 3-9 contribute... with 9 being AJ Stewart, who's really come into his own these last two games.

Seems like Galloway is gonna be Meeks' sub the of the season. That's a tough spot for him, because I don't forsee Meeks needing a sub much this season.

I think Pat seems to be back; he had a really good game.

Michael Porter, except for Vandy, has had the nicest stretch of his entire career starting with the Florida game. If he's knocking down his open shots, or at least making the defense stay honest, we're in great shape.

I'm honestly not too happy with the game though. We knew coming in that UT wasn't a good shooting team, and against a team like USC if those shots go in (and they are more likely too) things could be much closer.

And, I've never seen a coach who focuses on rebounding this much have a team that gets thorougly outworked on the boards like G's team did on Saturday... USC killed us on the backboards too.

This loss puts UT squarely on the bubble. Going to be tough to say they deserve a bid over a UK team that has dominated them twice even with the really good computer numbers. I still say 9-7 get UT in.

It's simple... UK's sweep means nothing if we look at last year's tourney. Arizona did get in, Arizona State didn't. Arizona State swept Arizona, but Arizona still had better computer numbers. I think UT has the toughest schedule in the country or it's right there with the toughest... UT should be in safely.

UT is safely in unless they completely fall apart.
