The VOLS need this one to stay in the hunt. The Dawgs have something to prove after their earlier loss last month.

Thoughts?

UT by 5. Normally I would say we win handily but we are really playing like **** right now.

UT by 20, if this was in Athens it would be close but UGA is pathetic on the road.

See, I think Georgia plays some inspired ball tonight for the new coach. I still think the VOLS win but it won't be a cakewalk by no means.

We will see, UGA has played 3 games since Felton was fired. Why would they play inspired now? I will be shocked if they keep it close.

Unfortunately I agree with Dj, Vols in a cakewalk.

7 minutes in and Georgia has 3 points. Why is this sh!t on tv and not LSU/STATE?

Local channel in Memphis. Not worth watching anyways, UGA really did not show up for this game. UT by 21 as of right now.

Playing a very good game, again...You know we're dominating when the token white kid comes in and hits a three with 13:00 left :rotf:

Damn that AU game :banghead: We'd be sitting atop the East alone in about 25 minutes...

I honestly thought we played like crap. You cannot even begin to measure your team against an opponent like that. Georgia players played with no effort whatsoever. They should fire the interim guy immediately. I know there is someone on that staff that can get these kids to at least put forth an effort. The Georgia basketball program has promise. There are several young players that, if properly motivated, could turn into real good ball players.

We sucked tonight and I hope we play better against Vandy.

I was laughing during that game, whats funny is the fact that UGA has just quit playing. Seriously do they want to go 0-16 in the SEC and be the joke of college basketball?

I do not understand why teams fire their coach mid-season and appoint the assistants as coaches. UGA's interim head coach is just not prepared to coach the team, especially in the state that it is in.

I'm just glad the basketVols won.

Has there been an 0-16 SEC team?

No idea, but UGA will be 0-16.

I'd say it's pretty apparent based on how they've played that they don't care which is sad and apparently contagious because everyone on the team appears to be like that.

Has there been an 0-16 SEC team?

no...BUT

The 16 game format only came into existence with the conference realignment. Before that though..

Sewannee had 6 years of not winning a conference game.

0-7, 0-10, 0-10, 0-13, 0-10, 0-9

Florida went 0-6 many years back.

Georgia Tech went 0-14 one year.

If UGA does not win a game in conference this year, they would be the first to lose all SEC games in a 16 game schedule.

Georgia's interim coach is well qualified to coach the team. They just have multiple problems in cases like this. Look for similar performance from Bama from here on out.

Good piece of trivia there 64.

As for the game tonight...the Vols played pretty well, but UGA just didn't want to be there at all. This is not the same team we barely beat in Athens.

Hermann's heart is not in it. He's a Felton guy and he knows he's got no shot at getting the job after this year, so there's no incentive for him in this. Hermann's a good man and a good coach, but he's not going to get any effort out of a group of kids that has completely given up.

Pearl had several things to say to him after the game and Hermann walked away with a rather perplexed look on his face. Wonder what Pearl had to say to him?

LOL...I only said something because it was rather prolonged and not your normal gg coach and handshake.

Maybe he told he felt sorry for him. LOL

Wow. I've watched a lot of Tennessee basketball games in my 25 years of life and since I remember (probably around ten or eleven) this is the worst efforst given by an opponent. Georgia's basketball deserves and will get so much better.

I agreed with LSU firing Brady mid-season. LSU was about to face the easier part of their season, and didn't want the team to start winning and lose their chance to fire him.

Also, many many LSU fans wanted to hire Pierre as the HC.
