Pulled from the official SEC stats...look how similar these two teams are. I left out a few categories where the two teams weren't similar, but they were very close in almost every category.

Scoring Offense

6. LSU (75.8)
7. MSU (75.7)

Scoring Defense

2. LSU (61.4)
6. MSU (64.8)

Free Throw Percentage

4. LSU (.714)
6. MSU (.696)

Field Goal Percentage

4. MSU (.467)
5. LSU (.463)

Field Goal Percentage Defense

3. MSU (.374)
5. LSU (.392)

2. LSU (.386)
3. MSU (.381)

4. MSU (.315)
5. LSU (.324)

4. LSU (39.7)
5. MSU (39.1)

Blocked Shots

1. MSU (8.67)
3. LSU (6.18)

Top Rebounder

2. (MSU) Varnado (9.6)
8. (LSU) Johnson (7.4)

Top Assist-Man

3. (MSU) Bost (4.72)
6. (LSU) Temple (4.06)

Top Free-Throw Shooter

11. (LSU) Mitchell (.725)
13. (MSU) Bost (.696)

Top Three-Point Shooters

5. (MSU) Johnson (2.33)
9. (LSU) Thornton (1.82)

Top Blockers

1. (MSU) Varnado (5.17)
2. (LSU) Johnson (2.29)

Both teams are also very deep, as neither has a single player in the SEC's Top 10 Most Minutes Played. This should be a very entertaining game, as the teams are very similar.

Phil, Ravern, Romero and Kodi all shoot free throws better than Bost. Ravern is at 81% and the rest of the guys are high 70's.
