I honestly don't know why Fla is that high, I can understand Tenn. Arkansas has the best wins, I can see 4 teams making the tournament. UK, Tenn, Fla and Arkansas or Miss St...

I say at least 5 teams get in and those teams are Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi State.

Tennessee

Florida, Tennessee, KY, MSU

These three look like solid picks to me: UK, UF, and UT.

Kentucky right now is the most impressive team in the SEC. UF-UK will be interesting once again.

At least one west team will join them. I'm likeing MSU and LSU right now to make it. I think those teams will get it done down the stretch.

I've got pretty much the same...UK, Tenn, Florida, and MSU with LSU on the bubble.

I think you can definitely add MSU to the on the bubble list. I think LSU is a little more of a lock to get in because they didn't have any really bad losses like we did.

Ultimately I think five teams may get in, but MSU will have to win 11 games in conference to make it (which I certainly think we will do).

You're right, MSU has two very bad losses, but LSU didn't play anyone and I believe MSU will finish with a better conference record.

And to say MSU will "certainly" win 11 SEC games is a huge stretch, in my opinion. If MSU wins 11 games with only two upperclassmen major contributors, Stansbury should be considered a miracle-worker.

I'm going with UF, UT, UK and Arkansas. The Hogs still have those two big wins and I think Pel will pull some upsets down the stretch. He needs to stabilize the team right now.

So...
UF makes it because of an ex-UK coach.
UT borders Kentucky
UK is UK
UArk = Pel = Unforgettable

I'm curious as to why Wave&Dawgs and Steelyvan doesn't think UK will make the ncaa tournament...

XPS, I do think UK makes the tournament, easily. Did I make an oversight mistake?

no worries. i'm still holding out for Vandy to make the tournament but few seem to agree with me. we'll know by weeks end. they may be too inexperienced, without a glue guy and shooter that they have benefitted form in recent years.

I pcicked five and those five are UK, UT, UF, LSU, and MSU. Now, I'm not so sure on MSU, so I think they've started the SEC off better than most anybody anticipated... I do think the West is LSU's to lose. I feel like everybody in the West will have a great 2-4 game stretch, and the thing for MSU is to make sure they maintain theirs.

Otherwise, those are my 5, but UK's RPI isn't looking great, and going thru this league won't boost it much, much higher, even if we go say 12-4 or 13-3.
