I've stated many times that I'm no fan of Italy, but as a fan of the beautiful game this makes me sad. He's the captain of arguably the most successful National side this decade and even at 34 is one of the premier players at his position. I hope to see him make a full recovery over the summer. :sad2:

No it's not. A lot of teams just saw their chances increase a bit.

Germany has an easy road, but I bet my left ### that France will stand triumphant.

I'm watching France vs Colombia right now on channelsurfing.net. This crowd is huge, all waving France flags, awesome atmosphere and it's just a friendly.

My condolences to Italia. A temporary set back, but Italy's defense shouldn't falter too much.

After watching that pathetic effort yesterday, I would say the tourney may be in the Dutch's hands...

Honestly, it felt like the whole Romanian team was in the box the whole time yesterday. I don't recall the possession statistics but I'd be surprised to see if they crossed 10%.

Expect to see some lineup changes for the next match on Friday. Del Piero, De Rossa, Chiellini and Grosso should be in the lineup. Formation also may change from a 4-3-3 to a 4-3-2-1 to give more of a presence in the midfield.

Ilike the changes, especially the defenders Chiellini and Grosso. Del Piero always seems to bring more energy to the side. Friday will be a tense game for me. It's pretty much a must win, though they can still draw Romania and hope Holland can defeat France and still be alive.
