He was batting 5th, then 3rd, and now moved to 4th. He's swinging well.

It's funny because I was telling them after Monday's game that their run production would probably start going down. Everyone of the players thought I was crazy because they are convinced they will only get better. They don't realize other teams will get better as well and defense will begin to outpace offense.

I'm looking forward to the age when they start facing each other pitching. Both of our boys will pitch. That's when it really starts getting fun though is when the kids start firing it in there.

My brother pitched all the way into AA. I sometimes let Sebastian fire it around, but my brother is not too crazy about the idea. Says 7 is too young and their bodies are changing too much. I just shrug my shoulders.

Drew has pitched a few innings relief, but neither are going to be pitchers I don't think.
I will try to get Drew's stat line up as well.

I can vouch for Rocky about his son and his playing ability. I help Rocky coach his team and lil' R@tT is a special player. Heck, I just love watching all the kids out there learn as they play. Stud, it looks like your kid has the talent too!
Gotta love kids!

I don't know if my boy has as much talent as he does just a straight up passion for the game. He's an absolute junkie. Can't get enough baseball. Hell he was eating a PB&J sandwich the other night and started using the crust as a bat. haha
Most people "in the know" who I've talked to swear that long toss is the best way to get an arm strong. Guess everyone has their theories. I'm having the time of my life though.

if he's 7, is this still off a Tee? or have they moved up to slow pitch from the coach........it's been a long time.

Long toss increased my arm strength from low 80's as a sophomore to high 80's, low 90's as senior in high school. Long toss, rubberbands, running (got to get those huge legs), and baseball specific weight-lifting make a huge difference, imo. Hell, he is too young to worry about that now though.

It's coach pitch actually. There is one more year of coach pitch and then the 9yo move to player pitch - if I'm not mistaken.

i always wonder if the coach ever just wants to burn one by a 7 year old to make himself feel like a dominating pitcher.........LOL

Correction for last post...
I went back and looked at the official score book. Little Rocky went...
3 for 4 with a HR, Triple, & Double. 5RBIs... barely missed hitting for the cycle.

Little Rocky went 2 for 3 tonight with 1HR and 1 Triple. 4 RBIs.
Had one strikeout which is the 2nd in 2 games. This is really irritating dad.

just out of curiosity, how many games a week is he playing?
Rocky@theTop

They average 2 per week, but sometimes there are 1 and sometimes 3... It's just how the schedule falls. A computer spits out the schedule. Nothing is done by hand.

LOL, re: two k's in two games.
I would always go 3-4 in little league...and without fail, I had a K per game.
