You beat me to the punch- was just about to post this myself. As usual the f'ing match is in Houston so it will be a Mexican Fiesta, but here's hoping to an American victory over those Osama-Chanting wetbacks.

mexicans outnumbered us 8 to 1 easily and probably was 10-1

the crowd was electric though.

beers flew at donovan during each corner he took. they really hate him

the dempsey offsides was absolute crap he had a touch or two before he put it in the back of the net and the flag went up after we scored

the entire first half was awesome

our d on set pieces was **** #21 was beat both times for their two goals

Howard was great can't fault him for the two scores

our touches were so sloopy in the second half we gave up possesion way to easily

also f*ck that stupid train in houston that takes you from downtown to the stadium an absolute waste of ****ing money

2-2 tie huh

Not a big soccer fan so can someone explain what it will take for US to make the World Cup? Since this is qualifying, right?

bamaphan
02-07-2008, 01:22 AM
not qualifying for the world cup that starts in june.

and for the us to not make the world cup it would take a major upset our qualifying region is Concaf which is US, Mexico, Carribean and Central America. US and Mexico are basically locks.

Yea we should easily make the world cup. That goal by Dempsey was sweet. It would have been a dagger. Terrible call by the ref.

Anyone ever notice how we always have spanish refs when we play Mexico? That is total BS.

Lots of good to take out...some bad, naturally. But I also have to note that this is Mexico's league season, and the MLS' off season.....makes me feel better.

We could make a serious run in 2010 IMO..

We hardly built up any pressure, it's like the two goals just happened. There wasn't any constant pressure on net that led to an eventual goal like Mexico had. Oh well, I think we were extremely lucky to end up with a draw and keeping Mexico winless on our soil for this decade.

It still should have been a W, fowler...Clint's great goal shouldn't have been DQ'd. The second half was pitiful though.

Denying Dempsey's goal was a f'ing crime. He was absolutely not offsides. We played terrible in the 2nd half, but I feel like we still could have won the game in spite of it. Bottom line, the streak remains alive and my boy Jozy looked pretty d@mn solid for being the kid that he is.
