View Full Version : Florida's Record?

What do y'all think Florida's final regular season record will be? (not including SECCG, if they make it)

Are they a young team who is coming together, and will be dominant from here out? Have they been figured out? Or are they somewhere in the middle, still a very good team, but still a loss or two in them?

I'm not sure what to think of them

They are currently 4-2, and their remaining schedule isn't easy (4 currently ranked teams), but also not a guantlet...

I think they'll run the table the rest of the season. When Florida plays at their best they are just as good as any team in the nation if not better. There's no reason y'all shouldn't win out. You might get another lump if you make it to the SECCG but you aren't there for sure and you have a coin flip of winning that. Either way y'all are the best dadgum 2-loss team in the nation and I gurantee would whip Ohio State and Cal if y'all met them. Tebow is beast.

9 - 3, losing to FAU. :)

Nah, I see them losing somewhere along the way. Not sure who though, but SC is the likely suspect.

They win until they get to Williams Brice, where Spurrier makes it 2 in a row in Columbia ;)

9-3, loss to either UK or SC. They'll beat UGA like always, and F$U is crap.

D@mn.. I'm gonna be at the UNC game which is the 3:30 ABC slot so I was hoping I could catch it either before or after. Oh well

If we respond positively to playing LSU toe to toe on their field at night, I believe this group could start a run for the rest of the season. They went against the best team in the country that is full of talent and experience and showed how good they can be despite their lack of experience. Maybe the most encouraging loss I can ever remember. The next 2.5 years of this group could very well be really special.

I don't see this team losing much anymore. They hate it so much, they were crying over it ;), look for a nice rebound from the LSU loss. Could they lose another? sure. But it'll take a special team to beat them now, there won't be any let down games. More injuries are my only concern.

We can all dream. :)

Tebow will have his way with your rush defense. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. :raz:

Umm buddy, I think that shadow left when that crystal ball was hoisted above Leak's head back in January.

I don't have anything to base this on other than my gut, but I feel that the LSU game will be hard for UF to bounce back from. I've been surprised at how the Gator-Nation has been obsessing over that game (not just on this board, but here in Orlando meat space) and if that rubs off on the players, it may have consequences that reverberate the rest of the year. That's why I think that the extra week off comes at a terrible time since it's an extra week to stew. I know that Urban guaranteed the Gators would be back, but methinks he doth protest too much.

I voted for 8-4.

Of course if my gut was at all prescient, that portfolio of tech stocks from the 90s would be worth millions, so what do I know.

Passion about losing is not a bad thing.

I think UF will be P.O.ed the next time they play. Also the LSU game was a huge confidence builder, if you can move the ball on the vaunted LSU defense, who can stop you? But who knows? we're talking teenagers for the most part.

Well documented fact (See Below)

How does what fans talk about in any way reflect what the team is focused on? Its a good time for the bye because it gives them a chance to regroup and fix a few things. Considering Urban basically never loses after a bye week and this team will be pissed off, not sure I would want to be UK... and they are a good team.

I say 9-3 (but I'm hoping for 10-2) b/c Spurrier is something else. Dude is possessed when it comes to coaching in the big game. He should release a DvD on coaching.

I don't see how people are picking Florida to finish with three losses. Is it losing to South Carolina or losing their bowl game?

I say 9-3

I agree with that of course I think that's also worst case scenario. Realistically I don't see this team losing more than one more game if that. I say either 10-2 or 9-3.

when the second game is at the number one team at night, it stands to reason it can happen. any logical person saw that could happen with LSU the next week. thanks for trying, though ;)

I think you're probably right on that, BUT the better team does not always win...Question is how does Florida react to these two losses...The bye week could not have come at a better time, IMO...Some people like to get right back out there bc they're mad, but I think in UF's case, they needed to rebound after the losses...Had they played KY this week, they would lose, IMO, but I think the fact that they have a week to heal their wounds (mental and physical) will have them ready to roll

However, I do think the Gators have one more loss in them, either to SC or FSU

There's no doubt about that in my mind. That's not the question though and as Tennessee said the better team doesn't always win.

In 2005 your Gators were supposedly better than us. Last year y'all were suppose to romp all over us. We'll see whose better November 10th. ;)

Right now, with all due respect to the Gamecocks, IMO the only game that matters is UK because its the next one.

I don't know all about that LSU is better than both teams but I would say that Carolina might be a lil better than Florida is but not by much.

The Gators are talented enough to win out, but young enough to drop one more. The most likely scenario for a loss is the game @ South Carolina. I don't think they'll lose to Kentucky, I certainly don't see them losing to Georgia and the other two games are gimmes. But that game in Columbia will test them again. Plus, USC will probably be fighting for their first ever trip to the SECCG. I would say that the true '07 Florida team lies somewhere between that relatively flat performance at home against Auburn and that amazing effort they gave in Baton Rouge. They'll find their groove and be tough to take down for the rest of the year...
