Huge pickup... this guy looks to have a bright futur I saw him play at one of my aau tournaments. He was IMO the best player at the tournament.

The Atlanta Celtics are a high caliber AAU team... Randy Morris, Dwight Howard, and Josh Smith, and many others have gone thru that AAU program. If that's any indication Bama is getting a pretty good player, and Bama needed a bigger wing player in this class IMO.

Another good Georgia player leaves. I don't like it but not much I can do about it. Congrats Bama.

gguy, the state of GA probably produces at least 10 high quality D-I players a year. UGA and Ga Tech for that matter won't be able to keep all of them. As long as you get your fair share with the schollys at your disposal it should all be fine.
I'd rather have Thompkins in this class FWIW.
awesome. CMG keeps bringing in the talent. Hopefully we get Steele, Green, and another big.
Congratulations, Tide. Seems like a talented kid.

UA37, how do you feel about Gottfried being involved with Team USA? He wont' be on the recruiting trail... how does that change recruiting? In 2000 when Tubby was actually a coach on THE US Olympic Team, people said that contributed to a "subpar class," even though we landed Jason Parker, Gerald Fitch, Cliff Hawkins, and Erik Daniels that year.
I'm not too worried especially after this pickup. I think Steele is a heavy Bama lean and i hear Steele and Green want to play together. Those three would give Bama a great class with possibly two more joining them.
