Brazil didnt have Dida, Kaka, Ronaldo, or Ronaldinho but apparantly they fielded a decent squad that should have beaten Mexico. Gives me a little hope that we can get a good result vs Argentina (but I highly doubt it).

they still had Robinho (sp?) and Juan. That was enough to at least manage a draw.
In brasil's defense, they had a goal taken away in the 3rd minute or so on a TERRIBLE offside call.

Doesnt really matter to me, we took the Gold Cup away from Mexico which books our passage to the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. Mexico is not good enough to win the entire Copa America, and even if they did, they still cant go to the Confed. Cup on it, the runner-up South American team would. So congrats to them for making CONCACAF look good and not so much a joke like the rest of the world sees us.

I wish they would have gotten stomped every game they played....screw them.

Evidentilly the ref was pretty bad in the 1st half but mexico's goals were very good. By the way this was Brazils B squad. But it does give me hope. By the way argentina has their A squad for this tourney. d@mn it. But I think we are going to have a good showing tonight. I am very excited.

Lionel Messi, at least two goals tonight IMO.

I think you underestimate the US squad. I am not sayng we win by any means but none of you are giving them any respect. I really think they are going to suprise ya'll. At least I hope so. Granted Messi and Tevez are going to be very tough to stop. I think the key tonight is our defense of course, but I think Bradley is going to step up and have a huge game. I am really looking forward to watching this kid in the future.

I feel like we have a prayer against the Argies... even our underperforming World Cup squad should have knocked off Italy if it weren't for some awful calls. I see this going one of two ways- we're either gonna keep this game really close and possibly win, or just get smoked. Praying for the former.

Im sort of mad at myself for going to see Live Free or Die Hard when I knew Mexico vs Brazil would be on, fortunatly I will not be missing the US vs Argentina tonight. I really hope we can shock the world like Mexico did and show that CONCACAF isnt a joke.
