Fast rising senior Ray Shipman out of Opa Locka Monsignor Pace has committed to Florida. Shipman came into the summer a little off the radar but he has showed extremely strong at the AAU competitions he has been in and the camps he has been too. Those camps include the Billy Donovan elite camp where he got his Gator offer a week ago. Shipman is a big wing player at 6'4 or 6'5. He can play 1-3. He has always been a big time slasher and scorer, but he has fixed his shot and now is hitting from long range to make him a more dangerous weapon. Strong defensively and has a good enough handle to play the point if needed. This is a great addition.

Shipman right now is Scout's number 65 ranked player in the country and Rivals has him in their 150. Both ratings should rocket up when they are reranked the way he has been performing (which included averaging 27 points per game at the Bob Gibbons tournament).

Whats not to like about Florida. You have everything in place that any recruit could want and then some. Im sure Billy will have UF very competitive even this season, what should be a rebuilding season. Thanks again for representing the SEC so good.

Wow. Thanks bro. Very kind words. I just think about where we were 10, 15 years ago and it makes it so hard to grasp where we're at now. MSU fans should be proud of what you have going too. With Rhodes and Gordon there, you all could make a run for the Final 4 and then this class you all are putting together will be top 5.

Congrats GM32. Right now, Billy D is a hot coach. I mean, he's gonna put four guys in the NBA early in this draft, and that may be more advantageous to some players than showing them those two championship rings, because these guys want to be in the NBA... and the thing about it is, Noah and Green probably were't visible NBA players back in 2004.
