On FIFA World Cup 2006, like i posted on FZ (more soccer fans here)...who should I pick? No North American teams is all I ask. I'd like it to be a little bit of an unorthodox choice (no brazil, italy, etc.)..

Just because I am not a soccer fan doesn't mean I didn't like soccer at one time..

Another team that's good is Aregentina.

For a "non-soccer fan" you sure know a pretty good bit. ;)

Glad to see you admit to being a soccer fan now. Admitting you have a problem is the first step on the path to recovery.

The MLS is horrible. Euro soccer and the big tournaments/national teams are what I watch. Don't watch the MLS unless there's nothing else on.

I liked the World cup, but the MLS sucks.

I go to Dynamo games a couple times a year. Pretty good entertainment in person.

But you have to drive five hours from here (Columbus) to get to an MLS team.
Not worth it.

I like how your only suggestions so far have been top teams...
How about Trinidad and Tobago? Ghana? Ukraine? Pakistan? Angola? Serbia & Montenegro? Australia?

Angola...that's a good one. I thought about maybe Scotland too.

Pakistan could be fun considering they are the worst ranked team in the game, IIRC.

Yeah, that'd be an interesting one too. They are the worst ranked.

I can probably help here. Give the Ukraine a try- not very good overall, but you do get Andriy Shevchenko at your disposal. They also have one other guy who's pretty good.
A couple other suggestions off the top of my head that are competitive without being extremely good:
Sweden: Henrik Larsson of Barcelona and Freddy Ljungberg of Arsenal
Ghana: Michael Essien
