If Alabama steals this guy from us, then I swear I'm going to lead a campaign to get all UK fans to flood the Alabama football office mailboxes with nothing but envelops full of pictures of hairy man butts.

Seriously guys... can't you let us have one nice thing?

I'd be more worried that tOSU steals him. Emory Jones will be the QB Alabama takes IMO.

Why do you think that? Although I must say it is great to see Bama getting UGA's leavings.

He's been to Tuscaloosa 5 or 6 times over the last 6-8 months, even after Urban told him no more visits anywhere.

The Urban Myth lying again?

I'm a socialist when it comes to football and capitalist with basketball.
Stop being greedy, Bama and THE Ohio State!

As far as I'm concerned Williams would be making a huge mistake to go sit on the bench at OSU or 'Bama versus possibly starting next year for UK. Especially when there is a chance you will be recruited over at those two schools before you even see the field. I mean they are both making a hard push for him now... but that hasn't always been the case, which means he wasn't their first pick and they are likely to go after someone in the coming years that better fits whatever they are looking for.

When you look at what the UK offense has become over the last two seasons it is tailor made for an athletic QB. When we are at our best we are running a lot, and that includes designed QB keeps, zone reads, and zone reads with a passing option. Johnson isn't even that athletic as far as dual threat QBs go and he's the second leading rusher on the team and 29th in the conference. Williams will have a chance to press for the starting job here, and could very well be in the top 15 of the conference for rushing yards as a freshmen in this offense. He would have at least one year with Snell as his primary back, and three more years of Lynn Bowden (who is going to become one of the best big play threats in the conference).

That said... dual threat QBs don't translate to the NFL very well. So if the NFL is his ultimate goal, then going to Alabama or OSU and learning in more of a pro-style offense might be the best option for him.

I wouldn't trade Hurts and Tua for Eason and Fromm.

LMAO, so basically you like the idea of giving other teams a chance. Let me say though, I haven't seen enough of Tua to be this firm but if there is a such thing as something holding you back it's Hurts. As an Alabama fan, you don't see it because you are used to the style that Saban has brought to Alabama and the dominating NFL style offensive lines you always have. I dislike Bama as any LSU fan would but it would be something to see a truly talented passing quarterback on that team. Hurts can hurt you with his legs but otherwise he doesn't scare me whatsoever. As an LSU fan, the only things that has scared me since Julio Jones is those damn offensive and defensive lines along with those NFL caliber linebackers that they just plug and play lol. Running backs haven't been much and wide receivers haven't either and especially the defensive backs.

Eh this is kinda fake news now. Alabama incorporates a lot of the spread option now which is suitable for running QBs. And doesn't Ohio State employee Urban Meyer, the king of the spread?

This has to be a troll post.
RBs haven't been much?? Two Heisman winners, Ingram is a legit top 10 back in NFL, TR ate his way out of league but had a 900 yard season, Lacy had at least one 1,000 yard season, Yeldon is stuck behind a better back in Fournette, Henry will soon replace Murray for Titans, and Bo/Damien have shown their talent.
WRs?? Do the names Julio Jones, Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley mean nothing to you? Soon everyone will know Henry Ruggs too.
DBs?? Humphrey, Eddie Jackson, Mark Barron, Cyrus Jones, etc... and Fitzpatrick could be best of the bunch.
The NFL doesn't care about anything but film and talent, there's a reason Bama has so many first and second rounders

Hurts has not developed into an elite passer yet, but hes growing game by game. He's a true sophomore! He was SEC POY as a frosh. And Tua can move some but he's elite as a passer, as good as any out there.
Hurts and Fromm are on about the same level in terms of passing the ball, but Hurts brings a dynamic running threat.
I stand by my statement, I wouldn't trade Hurts and Tua for Fromm and Eason.

Herchel's comment about 'Bama taking Georgia's leavings is based on the QBs being recruited for next year. The QBs 'Bama, Blohio Sate and Kentucky are fighting over are both from the state of Georgia and are rated behind the #1 player/QB in the state (and country) who has committed to UGA.

I haven;t watched much OSU football over the last few seasons, but from what I have seen they are still more of a pro-style shotgun offense than what Meyer ran at Florida. I could be wrong on that though.

I'm not. It doesn't mean anything to me to go window shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue if I still can't afford to buy anything.

I got ya. Bama prob not going hard at QB this cycle, Tua is a frosh, Hurts a sophomore so Bama is set for three/four seasons. It'd be nice to land the #2 QB, but we will survive anyway lolol

It’s kentucky football, box. We start every season 0-1 thanks to Florida. Just be happy we’re 6-1 in the rest of the games and hope. It’s all we got.

No comeback? Or cant handle a little ribbing when proven wrong? Hurts made some phenomenal throws. The dart to Ruggs was NFL caliber.

He did play well for the most part, you're just too blinded by Bama hate to admit it.

And those WRs you crapped on made some incredible plays. Sims catch, Ruggs catch, Ridley, etc..

Aaaaaaaaaaaand.... he's gone.

I really don't know who we turn to next year. For two years now we've had a run heavy offense full of read options and QB scrambles... but Barker and Hoak aren't really scrambling QBs.

The guy who should be the QB of our future is already on our roster, he just happens to play WR and he wears #1.

I dunno... he has the athleticism to take our running game up a level, but I haven't seen him throw enough to know what his arm is like.
