Arkansas' last SEC West championship came under Houston Nutt. Houston won 3 SEC West titles in his first 8 years at Arkansas if I remember right..

I'm not counting us out. The Razorbacks have a 5th year senior QB that can have really good days. If he can finish the season strong instead of flopping out, Arkansas can be in the hunt for the West at the end. As usual, the key game to winning the West is to beat Alabama. That goes pretty much for every West team.

Nutt was at Arkansas for 10 years, 1998-2007. He won two West Championships. In 2002 and 2006.

I like Allen but I just don't see it, especially losing your best RB before the season even starts. I'm not sure Ark is better than LSU or Auburn, much less Bama. Miss. State will also be interesting, Fitzgerald is dynamic as QB.

I can tell you this, Devwah Whaley is beilemas best RB to date at Arkansas. He will be top 3 in the SEC. May prove the best. Great peripheral and shifty.

And I know what you mean with Allen. He has to prove himself start to finish. History isn't on his side.

I agree with you on Whaley.......he has tremendous potential to be a dominating back.

He was coming to Athens until Richt got fired.......

Yep. He had like 40 scholarship offers. Texas also tried hard to land him I think.

I actually believe in Allen, a lot. He was one of the best QBs Bama faced last year. I'm just not sold on the defense or the skill positions at this time.
